Damie — Restaurant in Paris

Takeaway Order Review.

My usual Korean restaurant wasn't answering their phones and I was hungry so I ordered from Damie. When I called I asked if there was a "menu" available - basically a starter, main and dessert and was told no. I proceeded to order the spicy pork, which I was told did not come with rice, so I added that as an extra. I then ordered the raviolis which were extra. Upon collection of my order, I paid 18,50€ which is honestly WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! Also, the menu did not include any of the typical Korean sides, kimchi, pickled daikon, etc... Note that all of those things are provided when you sit down and of course at other restaurants.

Owners, if you want to correct this mistake, please contact me and we can figure out a way forward, otherwise I will very likely not return...

We were looking for a place for dinner before seeing the lights on Eiffel Tower after sunset. To avoid the usual tourist trap places, we walked a little bit away. In a side alley we found this restaurant. It is not very big but nice and clean.

Ordering food was a little bit funny, as we both don't speak French. With an English menu and some hand gestures we were able to get what we want.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Korean dishes were very tasty and a very welcome contrast to local food classics. The toilettes were the cleanest I have seen so far in whole Paris.

I recommend the bibimbap with beef and the hot sauce that comes with it.

Without Dami Restaurant, our stay in Paris might have been difficult, because sometimes it’s hard to find food that suits our Korean taste. You truly saved us!

The kimchi stew tasted just like my mom’s homemade one in Korea, and the bulgogi and spicy pork were incredibly delicious. It’s just like a real Korean home-style restaurant — every dish we tried was above and beyond our expectations.

Even if this restaurant were in Korea, it would still be famous for its authentic home-style taste.

Every staff member was so kind and warm — we really love you, Dami Restaurant!

Our wedding makeup artist, who once came to Paris for work, recommended this place, saying it was amazing — and now we completely understand why!

We sincerely hope many people from all around the world come here to experience authentic Korean food.
