I’m staying here tonight. Never come if you’re looking for good service or nice pictures taken at the balcony with eiffel tour view! I booked it for the nice pictures from agoda with balcony and wonderful eiffel tour view. I understand that balcony rooms are not guaranteed, but the photos of other rooms from agoda/official website with eiffel tour view without balcony are still looking good, still close to the tour at least, so it’s still fine if they’re offering me a room with nice view but not balcony. Unfortunately, I was assigned to live at room 524, which is most far away from eiffel tour among all. I was literally crying when I saw the view. In my room, the tower was even wholly blocked by the wall between the windows. I could only peek the top of tower from a corner of my room, not to mention “waking up with this view” or taking nice photos with a breakfast in the balcony with eiffel tour. Couldn’t understand why the hotel is charging it as much as those full view or balcony rooms. Sincerely recommend the hotel to classify it as “partial view room” with lower prices to avoid any misleading in the future. It’s so misleading when the hotel even names itself as “Citadines Tour Eiffel Paris” which means it knows its only selling point is the view while it doesn’t give you a good one as shown in its website. Whats more, the service was terrible. Totally not demonstrating a 4 star standard with €250 per night. Seriously, go find an airbnb with this budget, you’d definitely get a perfect one and enjoy a pleasant day. We arrived at 12sth and would like to place our luggage first if early check-in couldn’t be arranged. The reception lady said “You know our check in time is 3pm right?” At that time, we were a bit shocked by how this conversation was happening in a 4 star hotel, but we’re still ok with it cuz it may be the culture of this city, just being straight and direct. What pissed me off was how the staff reacted later. After getting my room at 3pm and crying, I called to the front desk to see if there’s any chance to get a closer room. I wasn’t asking for those with balconies, just at least one slightly closer to the tower since mine was the most far away already, any other one must be better. I was pretty sure there were still other eiffel tour view studios available as I checked from agoda and there’re still at least 3 remaining tonight. Plus, I was arriving the hotel earlier than check-in time and checked in just right after 3pm, so I really couldn’t believe all the other rooms were all full already. However, that lady just replied me “sorry, no” without any checking. I truly hope it’s a usual practice of not considering any requests of changing rooms, rather than ONLY REJECTING ME BECAUSE OF MY RACE. I mean, you should at least check for me as a gesture before rejecting? This gesture could show how you’re willing to do sth to make your guests enjoy which is more useful than printing words like “we wish you to enjoy your stay” and stick it on the lift without any actions. Your staff just didn’t even bother to pretend checking, what a joke. For real, if your hotel won’t entertain any requests of changing rooms usually, you could offer me a refund instead. I’d definitely be happier to get my money back and go for other good deals. This budget could undeniably get sth better, at least with a bottle of water in the room. Oh yes, this hotel doesn’t even provide bottled water, what an amazing 4 star experience! But to be fair, the size of the room and location were quite good. The staff was often friendly as well.

unfortunately my experience at this hotel was pretty terrible. I’m not sure if it was bad luck but there were a number of issues with the rooms we had booked. I was traveling with my mother and cousin. My cousin had her own room. My cousin’s first room had leaking floorboards by her bed, when you walked into her room your feet would be stepping in tiny puddles all over the room! her windows didn’t lock and her phone did not work. As a single woman traveling these were security concerns she had. The hotel moved her to a new room. However, she ended up having to move 2 more times bc the rooms had other issues like broken appliances or no lights. Probably the most disappointing part about this hotel was the treatment we received from receptionist Melodie. She was disgustingly rude. When I told her the safe in my room was locked her response was “why are you only telling us this now”. Not that it should matter but it was only on day 2 of our trip. we had been pickpocketed the day before and therefore wanted to use the safe. Her response was rude and very inappropriate. When we told her the coffee machine in the lobby was broken her response was “what did you do to break it”. We are reasonable ppl and are well traveled so to experience customer service with such appalling service and crumbling infrastructure for the price we paid was shocking! I filed a formal complaint with the manager, who’s contact was difficult enough to obtain. I’m not sure anything was ever done. We did not receive any compensation or discounts for our stay in spite of all the inconveniences and mistreatment we endured. We received an apology from the manager which unfortunately does not count for very much. I would highly recommend that individuals do not stay at this hotel. However I would recommend staying in one of the other nearby hotels as the location is fantastic. I hope future patrons do not receive the despicable treatment that we did from Melodie the receptionist and that she realizes her behaviour has the power to ruin a family’s vacation, comfort and overall experience of not only a hotel but also first impressions of a country. Melodie requires to be reprimanded for her behaviour, retraining or better yet fired from a job that she does not know how to do properly and obviously does not enjoy.

Stayed here for 6 nights with my girlfriend and had a great view! The staff was extremely friendly and the wait wasn't long at all past check in. Thankfully the staff spoke English for the most part since neither of us speaks French. The staff was extremely helpful and even helped us find a store that was open in the wee hours of the morning. One mention for others is that there's a little slot on the wall to insert one of the room keys which is needed for the electricity to work (we weren't aware of this at first). If we had to find some negatives the appliances are a bit different than ones used in the US. The controls are different and the icons aren't self explanatory. We did find a "guest guide" for those about 3 days into the stay in a cabinet but that still did not explain the stove top (which had some sort of timer as well?). Also the air conditioner did not get as cold as it was set to. It was on 20 celcius when we arrived and we lowered it a little to like 17 and there was still no cool air coming out. Thankfully there was a breeze and the windows opened wide so it wasn't a big deal. Also sometimes you can hear the neighboring rooms sliding chairs or other furniture (you can't actually hear any talking). Overall it was a really great stay and the location was spectacular. Right across from the metro. We will be sure to stay here again when we return to Paris!

Luckily, we had only booked for one night and promptly canceled our remaining Citadines reservations for the rest of our trip.

This hotel is nowhere near a 4-star standard. The service is appalling, the cleanliness is disgraceful, and the overall experience was deeply disappointing.

Here’s a breakdown of our experience:

Untrained and Unwelcoming Staff The staff here are the opposite of welcoming. Basic hospitality, like greeting guests or offering assistance, is non-existent. When we asked to store our luggage, the staff smugly pointed for us to push it into their office ourselves—when it's just a few feet away! How is this acceptable in any hotel, let alone one that claims to be 4-star?

Hallways Reek of Vape The hallways reek of vape smoke, which is not only unpleasant but downright unacceptable. It felt like walking through a smoking lounge every time we went to our room.

Musty Room with Misleading View We booked a corner room supposedly offering a "view of the Eiffel Tower." In reality, you can only see the tip of the tower, and the room had a persistent musty odor, like durian. We had to constantly open the window, which was highly inconvenient, especially in cold weather.

Stingy with Complimentary Water Two people in the room, but only one small complimentary bottle of water. When my husband politely asked for another, the male staff member rudely made a face, and the female staff weakly pretended to check behind the counter. This penny-pinching attitude is insulting. Adding to the frustration, the phone in our room didn’t even work, making it impossible to contact reception without going downstairs.

Filthy Towels Disgustingly, we found hair on our towels upon check-in. Thankfully, we brought our own. Relying on their hygiene standards is clearly a mistake. This was the final straw, and we canceled all our remaining bookings with Citadines across France.

Pointless Membership Program Their membership program is a joke. Even as a Platinum member, there are no real perks—not even for a birthday.
