My wife and I spent a week in Paris last spring, and although we enjoyed several great meals, the most memorable meal was at Chez Marthe.
The food was impeccable, unfussy and satisfying. The wine pairing was well chosen and interesting. It was the service that set the meal apart - the host could not have been more welcoming and charmed our five year old daughter by taking her coat and umbrella as well as comping us a dessert.
While the restaurant was full, the entire service was run by just one waiter and the host, smoothly and calmly while the kitchen turned out dishes efficiently.
Overall a great example of why one should eat out, and why one should do so in the 11th of Paris. Unreserved...

I lowered the food rating to 4* because the meat dish I had (beef ribs) was exceptionally chewy, with many bites to tough to swallow. That said, most of the dish was edible, the taste was in fact excellent, and perhaps the toughness was my fault for ordering it rare? The service was top notch, presentation excellent. Truly outstanding, starter we had oyster which was some of the freshest we have ever had, for mains the veal was cooked perfectly and beautifully seasoned, and desserts are unique and delicious, pricing is excellent and extremely competitive, would visit again and 100% recommend people...
