Instagram - optimized restaurant with room for improvement in service, cleanliness in the toilets and quality.
This restaurant looks unbelievable stylish and shouts "put me on instagram" but being stylish should not be the main target of a restaurent.
The service was uncoordinated - we were two persons and each ordered a starter, the first starter was brought to the table (Gyoza) then we waited for the 2nd starter - after 15 Minutes the waiter came with another plate of Gyozas and the 2nd starter - don't know who waited for the gyozas they served us first... Similar for the main course - my wifes dish was served first, after some minutes (at least not 15) my dish was served. Generally when we order together we expect that we get our dishes served together so that we eat together. The whole time we saw waiters with dishes searching for the table to serve...
The Ramen I got was OK but not exzellent, meaning that I had Ramen in the same quality in regular fast Ramen shops. It was OK but the restaurant's attitude had raised higher expectations than what we finally got delivered.
Speaking about the toilets: The anteroom to the toilet was again unbelievable stylish with blue lighting and neon lights art on a mirror wall, but the blue lighting were also in the toilet cabins with the effect that you do not see how clean or - in our case - dirty the toilets were on the first sight - but even blue lights cannot hide urine stains on the floor at a certain degree. Also you could not close the door on the mens toilet.
When it came to paying the bill, we did not get a printed bill. When we asked for it, we had to take a photo from the waiters mobile phone...

Read moreAfter paying the bill within one minute the manager asked me to leave so the table could be given to another party. Let's do the math. After arriving I waited 10 minutes for the waitress to take my order. 10 minutes later, the tori shoyu ramen came with cold chicken, so I asked them to microwave the dish to warm it up. That took another 5 minutes of their time. Since I was eating alone with I wolfed down the meal in probably under 30 minutes. It took another 10 minutes for the plate to be cleared by a staff. I waited 10 minutes before I could flag the waitress for the l'addition to pay. I had 45 minutes of total wait time and it took me no more than 30 minutes to eat. After one minute of paying my bill, I was finishing up a text message when the manager asked me to give up my table. I explained I'll leave in a minute after finishing up the text message. He told me to sit at the bar to do it. I told him I felt that was rude and I'll never come back.
The place decor looks great. My waitress was good. Too bad I can't say the same for management and the kitchen. Although in America, it's common to encourage table turnovers for more profit, but I was never asked to give up my table. In Europe this would be sacrilegious.
I'm sure if I were there with my wife and not alone, taking twice the time to eat and talk, the manager wouldn't have said to get out immediately after paying the bill. Or maybe if I looked...
