Chez Nicos isn't just a creperie - it's a lifestyle. Open until the early hours of every morning, Chef Nico must have the sleeping pattern of a bona fide rockstar - but, like a good father who must be strong for his family, Chef Nico presents a warm smile on arrival and makes pleasant conversation as he proudly prepares his wide range of giant crepes before your even wider eyes. All the drunk and hungry Parisians want him, all the other creperie chefs want to BE him. If I had just a pinch more business sense, I would already be administering a Chez Nico TikTok account, as passersby rightfully question whether he is cooking crepes or presenting a modern art project. This creperie may be within a nightlife district, but it would no less heave with customers if perched atop a polar bear-infested glacier in war-torn New Zealand. I had three nights in Paris, staying nowhere near this place, and visited on all three. On my final night, it was a tearful goodbye - James Blunt was said to write 'Goodbye My Lover' after a similar experience at Chez Nicos following a boozy weekend eurotrip. For 10 Euro I had a loaded savoury crepe the size of my head, filled with eggs, cheese, mince, potato, lettuce and tomato and other things I've forgotten - it was a hot mess and the perfect denouement after a long day and night’s strolling. There is only one creperie in Paris - the rest are just craperies. Vive...
Read moreI was in Paris for the weekend and stumbled upon this place which was highly rated while searching on Tripadvisor. The reviews do justice and it's indeed quite a great experience with tasty crepes. The crepes are toasted and thin which provides a great crunch to very generous fillings or topping inside and is a meal in itself. The hospitality is great and the chef was happy enough to engage us in an interesting chat about the place while whipping up the crepes magic. We tried Egg Cheese Chicken and Indian traditionelle both were tasty and the chef was open to any customisation if required.Would definitely come back to try more when in Paris again also good connectivity via metro makes it easy for a quick stop...
Read moreWe thought we would visit Chez Nicos after seeing their reviews, as they are only a walking distance from the Pantheon. I tried the egg, ham and cheese and my wife tried the cheese, ham and mushroom. They were both super tasty and mega filling. We loved it. The staff are really friendly and make you feel at home. I also got to watch the final overs of the ICC Trophy semi-final, India Vs Australia! What a great place! The best sign is to see how many locals were in the shop. You know it's going to be good when you see that. I cannot highly recommend...
