We had lunch at a couple of creperies during a recent visit to Paris. Of those, we preferred Crêperie Suzette along Rue des France Bourgeois. This place is open from 11am to 10.30pm daily and serves really good galettes.
Arrived for a late lunch, finding Suzette rather full up, had to wait around 10 minutes for a seats in a somewhat crammed but cozy seating area. Staff worked hard and fast to dish out crepes, galettes and bottles of sweet and dry cider to a room full of happy diners. Menu is in French and English. Cider and coffee served up during lunch were just fine as well.
Food orders included a Picasso, basically a four cheese galette that was delicious. Cheeses were tasty and the pancake made well. Also tried the more basic Complete galette with ham, egg and cheese. This was a simple and safe order and tasted pretty good as well. Might go with something more adventurous next time around but had no complaints at all in either order at...
Read moreCame here for lunch and ordered chicken and vegetable crepe and spinach and mushrooms crepe with cider and apple juice. Both had large portions. The chicken and vegetable crepe was okay. There was a lot of sauce and it made the crepe soggy. The chicken and bell peppers were overcooked. Chicken was dry and bell peppers were soggy. The spinach and mushroom crepe was okay as well. They gave you a lot of spinach but it was under seasoned. The mushrooms were good though. The apple juice was over priced and the cider just tasted like champagne with apple juice. I thought that the price for the crepe would have been okay if it had tasted better. The waitress was very nice and spoke some English to assist us in ordering. The décor of the place is contemporary. I liked the décor and how they made the kitchen partly opened. Maybe it is just me, I don’t like savory crepes. However, I would not recommend this place. They do accept...
Read moreVery friendly staff. Spoke French and English (and who knows what else!)
Small space, not recommended for large party. Maybe 5 or 6 max. Seating inside and outside.
Crêpes were extremely well done with around 15 different options as well as custom options. From savory to sweet to stuffed with protein like eggs or ham.
I saw many French folks getting theirs with pesto? and I regret not asking for recommendations before ordering a basic banana and Nutella. Which was still beautiful and well done.
Slightly pricey, you could probably find cheaper crêpes or a 3 course lunch for the same price. But a nice spot near many attractions in the...
