Wanted to visit a few times before leaving a review since I know restaurant openings can be quite rocky, however, after a third dinner here plus multiple bad reviews from others, I am surprised the restaurant is still so poorly managed. The first time we came, we were a party of 6 with some arriving very shortly before others. As is normal in any dinner scenario. They asked 4 of our guests to wait at the bar and made them pay their tab before moving to our table, which I didn't appreciate at all as we didn't want the guests we invited to cover their own tab. Also- please don't talk about "elegance" when you pull moves like this. They asked my husband to wait outside when he arrived just 5 minutes early to the reservation, though he came straight from the train station carrying his belongings. And the indoor entry area is quite large enough to accommodate just one man for a few minutes. The second visit, they made sure to call us not once but twice to insist that the dress code is elegant chic...Okay? Also insisting we need to leave the table after two hours by voicemail and then again on the phone- please relax. The host was also acting like we murdered someone when we very kindly asked if we could have another table than the one she assigned us. The third visit must be the worst experience so far. We asked for a table outside and the same host (poor attitude and literally depressing every time by the way) informed us it was exceptionally closed. My husband said she was lying as he saw a couple seated outside, to which I responded she can't lie about something that obvious. Since we have eyes and can see out the windows. Well- she did lie (image attached). This is the exceptionally closed terrace on May 23rd. Most of the food is good but not consistent enough- especially the meat cuts. There are also multiple items that have never been available since we first tried the restaurant after opening. This Em Sherif doesn't come close to any of the ones in the Middle East and poorly represents real Lebanese hospitality which is true luxury in itself. Hoping the Costes Group service (if you know, you know) improves as it's a real shame and we were so excited to have a quality neighbourhood spot to become...
Read moreThe Most Disrespectful Dining Experience I’ve Ever Had !
If there’s one place I regret ever setting foot in, it’s Em Sherif Café Paris. I had a confirmed dinner reservation for two, made since the morning. I arrived earlier than the scheduled time to avoid kitchen closure and to be respectful of the timeline they provided. Instead, what I experienced was beyond unacceptable—it was insulting.
The hostess instructed us to sit at the bar and “wait a few minutes.” We did. And we waited. And waited. She passed by us at least 20 times, guiding guests who came after us directly to their tables while we remained ignored at the bar like second-class guests. No updates. No explanations. No acknowledgment. Absolutely unprofessional and disgraceful service.
After an unreasonable wait, we were finally seated—only to be told moments later that our table had been “given by mistake” and we were asked to leave. At that point, we had enough. It felt like they were deliberately choosing who is “worthy” of dining, playing internal favoritism games rather than honoring confirmed reservations.
Let me be very clear: this wasn’t a delay—it was deliberate disregard. The service team, especially the hostess, operated with complete arrogance and zero professionalism. We were treated as if we were invisible. Or worse, as if we didn’t belong.
This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to write a negative review in my life, but this experience was so disturbing I will make it a point to share it on every platform I can. I’ll personally discourage every friend, associate, or client from ever setting foot in any Em Sherif location worldwide. They lost more than two guests—they lost our entire circle.
If Em Sherif values its brand and reputation, I strongly recommend they investigate what’s happening inside their Paris branch—unless of course, this type of discrimination and mismanagement is part of the brand culture. Either way, we’re...
Read moreWhat a Joke! Em Sherif Paris is an Embarrassment to the Brand!!!! I came with my Fiancé on a Thursday night, full of excitement after dining at Em Sherif in Beirut (MANY TIMES), Dubai, Saudi, and Cairo. We expected the same magic. Instead, we got the worst, most pathetic excuse for an Em Sherif restaurant.
Let’s start with the portions — an absolute insult. The plates were so tiny it felt like we were being pranked. For those prices? It’s straight-up robbery. I’ve had more food in an airplane meal. I would honestly be embarrassed to serve such tiny portions at those prices!!!!!
The food? Bland. Soulless. Nothing like the rich, flavorful dishes we’ve had in Beirut. Whoever is behind the kitchen clearly missed the entire point of what makes Em Sherif special.
And the dress code nonsense? They called us a few hours before the reservation to say “sport chic” was mandatory — only for us to arrive and see few people in sweatpants and hoodies!! What kind of joke is this? If you’re going to enforce a code, then actually enforce it. Don’t pretend to be classy when the vibe doesn’t match.
This was honestly one of the most disappointing and frustrating dining experiences I’ve had in Paris. Em Sherif Paris should be ashamed to carry the name. Overpriced for these little small portions underwhelming, and completely out of touch with what Em Sherif used...
