Loved it here! Going through a few highly rated restaurants in Paris which didn't stay up to standard Horiz definitely did.
The staff is very attentive, caring you can tell they like their job which makes for a relaxed atmosphere.
Cocktails and Mocktales were nicely balanced fresh and pleasurable.
Eggplant accompanied the main dishes very well, nice tangy vinegary taste different from other oil/spice heavy Eggplant dishes.
Forbidden rice nice use of textures, the black rice is a lovely key feature. The dish is perfect if you don't feel like having any Sause "heavy" dishes, Very light yet still flavourful.
Sichuan-style spicy beef yummy yummy yummy, we scraped every last bit on the pan!
Hunan beef recommend starter! Balance between the beef and veggies was on point dish disappeared really quick.
Dan Dan Noodles, sichuan buzz very pleasant on the tongue not overly pungent beef and nuts all very well presented.
Mango sticky rice top pick desert! but both were put together very well. You can tell they have a good understanding of flavor balance and complementary tones, sweetness was well thought out, desserts tasted real and organic! More restaurants should take this approach when bringing dishes to their customers.
Therefore, it was a perfect ending for out dinner.

   Read moreMixed experience. The furnishing and the service are good. Waitress was very polite and speaks good English. The food, however, was a let down. I ordered two dishes: the eggplant and the spareribs. The spareribs were covered with a layer of fat which was not cooked away, so the texture of rubbery fat in the mouth was not pleasant. The eggplant was okay, but by far not the best Chinese eggplant I had, it was so overpowering and even pungent with the vinegar flavour, seriously lacking a balance with other accompanying flavours.
Itâs interesting to note that after I complained about the fat on the ribs. The chef replaced the dish with a chicken dish with a similar cooking method: deep fried and covered with sweet sour sauce. I would say the chicken was better than the ribs, but again overpowering with that vinegar flavour.
Overall, I would say not a bad experience taking into account of good environment...
