I was keen to try this place. As a vegetarian, it is often difficult to find interesting vegetarian offerings in restaurants. We arrived to a very warm reception only 1 other couple in the restaurant. Within 10 minutes the place was full. The room is very nice; simple but elegant with large windows allowing a view of the passing parade. The service was pleasant. A little confusion around the wine that I put down to language differences. The servers were very busy with a full restaurant but very efficient. Our meals were universally good. Clever combinations of flavours. Good explanations from the server. Meals very generous in size. I had the tomato entree which was very good. Then we had the mushrooms and rice main and the roasted cauliflower. Both very good. I felt that the tea infused rice would have benefited from a little salt but chef might think that detracted from its elegance. In summary, very worthwhile, delicious inexpensive dinner in pleasant room.

We had a wonderful experience dining at Bonnard with my parents on our last night in Paris. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and incredibly creative. The chef made great use of fresh, seasonal ingredients, including some that were unexpected but worked together in surprisingly delightful ways. The wine was also very good and paired well with our dishes. A special thank you to the team for accommodating my mother’s dietary restrictions with such care. They offered thoughtful suggestions that made her feel truly considered, and everything turned out perfectly. It was a memorable way to end our trip to Paris. Highly recommend Bonnard for a special and thoughtfully crafted dining experience. I recommend making reservations in advance as the restaurant can get very busy.

Bonnard in Paris is easily one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve visited. The menu is well thought out, proving that working only with vegetarian ingredients is no longer a limitation but an opportunity for creativity. Each dish is carefully crafted with bold flavors and beautiful presentation, all at a reasonable price considering Paris standards. While everything we tried was excellent, the standout was the cabbage cooked with miso. The depth of flavor in that dish was impressive, with the miso giving a rich umami taste that perfectly complemented the tender cabbage. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Bonnard is a must-visit for anyone looking for top-notch vegetarian cuisine in Paris. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll try to be back soon.

Spouse (vegan) and I (omni) loved the meal we had here! Spouse had the fennel starter: shaved raw fennel salad with dots of gel and a milky fennel juice. I had the cress soup with pear, roasted parsnip, walnuts, and Stilton, which was simply fantastic. For mains, Spouse had and loved the braised white cabbage with miso and apples, and I had celery root three ways: a millefeuille of shaved celery root, formed into a spiral, grilled until carmelized, and topped with toasted puffed buckwheat; a rich, creamy puree with Parmesan; and a traditional remoulade on the side. It was fabulous and complex and I'm still thinking about it. Spouse had the vegan chocolate dessert, also excellent; I had the ewe's cheese with poached and pickled pears and mizuma, which was light and fresh and lovely.

Not many of the wines are available by the glass but the ones that are are well-chosen; Spouse had a lovely crisp, minerally Vouvray and I had the 'Jean Valjean' Syrah, which was robust enough to stand up to the rich and smoky flavors of the grilled celeriac.

The service was good, and the ambience is cozy and cheerful. We would definitely love to come back when we're in...
