The food was very good, nearing excellent. The service, unfortunately, was among the worst anywhere. The atmosphere, on the kitschy side, was charming.

I got a bean dish, a vegetable dish, some babaganoush, and some cakes. The only one of these I was a bit disappointed in was the babaganoush. The cakes were very enjoyable.

All right, so the service. The gentleman who helped us had no idea what we were saying, having to re-confirm at least four times. Now, I grant, our French is imperfect, but his wife or sister or whatever did speak English, and very well, so I don’t know why she didn’t take our orders.

Later, when I wanted to order more, ya know, give them more money, I couldn’t get anyone to even look at us. And the place isn’t exactly big.

If you’ve never tried Egyptian and you have some time for lunch, Horus is definitely worth a gander, but hope that our guy isn’t...

I went there 2 days ago with friends and we had a great experience to say the least. Ahmed welcomed us, took our order and prepared it as well. He is not just very nice and friendly but also a great cook! We tried koshary, kebda, molokheya, moussaka and hawashi and they were exceptionally delicious! The koshary is just like the one served at the most famous koshary restaurant chains in Egypt (or even better). Kebda is on point 👌 and the molokheya is also made to perfection. I don’t usually make reviews but as an Egyptian I’ve always felt that our cuisine is under-represented abroad, specially here in France (or even misrepresented sometimes, giving an incorrect image of our food) and this restaurant came to do it justice. Thanks Ahmed and I’ll come back soon with more...

It was just fabulous, I feel like I’ve never found Egyptian food in Paris where Lebanese and Maghrébin places are so much more present, this was a gem to stumble upon in a wandering promenade in the 10e today ! I had the soup foul for the first time and it was incredible to taste with tahin. Equally the courgette farcie was great, i’ve had tomate and aubergine farcie but this one was a particular standout ! everything is made meticulously by hand and it smells wonderful inside. they were very welcoming/hospitable and didn’t trouble me while eating, i feel like they respected me and the food. thank you for a nice meal, i’ll come again for pigeon and the platter...

Had a great lunch here today, it was my first time trying authentic Egyptian food and it was great. The prices are unbeatable, the service extremely friendly and the food very tasty. I especially love the falafel (ta3miya), as a lebanese person who's had falafel countless times they were the best ones I've ever had, so incredibly fluffy and crispy at the same time. The koshary and msa23a were wonderful too.
