I recently visited Krispy Kreme in Paris and opted for the package of 12 mixed-flavor donuts priced at 21 euros. The taste of these donuts was exceptional, and each one was delightfully soft. However, I'd recommend consuming them on the same day for the best experience.
What makes the mixed-flavor package donuts unique is that some of them have jam filling inside, adding a delightful burst of flavor with each bite. The variety in the mixed package ensures a satisfying exploration of different tastes.
The establishment goes beyond just serving donuts; it has a small gift shop and a fascinating exhibition showcasing the donut creation process. It felt like a mini museum of donuts, providing insight into the artistry behind these delectable treats. For donut enthusiasts, this adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the visit.
Moreover, the option to purchase a single traditional donut from 2.5 euros allows for flexibility, but if you want to try a specific flavor or indulge in a quick treat the price might be higher . The pricing is reasonable considering the quality and the unique experience offered.
Krispy Kreme in Paris not only offers scrumptious donuts with delightful fillings but also provides a charming atmosphere with its mini museum-like exhibition. Whether you go for a package or a single donut, it's a worthwhile stop for...
Read moreThe gravitational pull to the new Krispy Kreme was strong - mostly driven by my American companions wanting taste of home and my stoner munchies. Fait accompli. There was a long line but it moved fast. (I think. Who knows, what is time?) While in the queue, an angel - masquerading as a staff member - handed out fresh Original Glaze, for FREE. It was as delicious as I remember, even sweeter due to the lack of currency exhanged. [Note - it was neither crispy nor creamy.]
An assortment was purchased by my friends, but my one OG left me fully satiated. On the surface, this seems like a bad business model. But here I am weeks later, telling all who will listen about my tasty freebee, promoting Krispy Kreme to the masses without being on the payrole.
Leaving the premises was a bit of a debacle as we assumed the exit doors were automatic, so we kept walking back and forth for the sensor, other customers then joining us on the same dance, only to be told that you simply push the doors. We are obviously dingbats, but other customers joining in gave a sense of community in a city unfairly stereo-typed as lacking comraderie. Kudos to Krispy! That we left the establishment feeling hilariously mortified at our foolishness is no fault of Krispy Kreme and should not deter you from gorging on their...
Read moreI am an American and, not to be boastful, a donut aficionado and connoisseur. For the record, when I am in Paris I love and appreciate every form of French bread and pastry. That said, I had to try a Paris Krispy Kreme.
Krispy Kreme in the US is a personal favorite. The donuts are light and delicious and addictive. Nothing fancy, but amazingly good.
The Paris version has smaller, much denser donuts that are very different from the original. If I did a blind taste test I would have told you they were not Krispy Kreme. They weren’t bad, but they were not the same and not in a good way.
All of the staff were excellent and I’m glad I could rate them separately.
I understand that French tastes aren’t the same as American tastes and I’m sure this is why Krispy Kreme decided to try to adjust accordingly. In my opinion this was a mistake and the French would love the original and would appreciate that it was different. A feature, not a bug.
I encourage my French friends to appeal to Krispy Kreme to deliver the original. You will have my long-distance support. If your efforts are not successful you have my sincere...
