I visited Le Paradis du Fruit at Les Halles with my mom, and while the atmosphere was quite busy and crowded, the food and drinks were genuinely good. It’s located in a convenient spot right by the Forum des Halles, which makes it easy to reach while exploring central Paris.
As a vegetarian, I found that the menu didn’t offer a lot of options for vegetarians or vegans, which was a little disappointing — but the few things I did order were delicious. I had fries (frites), Cajun-style green beans (haricots verts cajun), and my mom had chicken (poulet) — she really enjoyed it.
The highlight for me was the spicy mayo that came with the fries — super flavorful! My mom ordered a margarita, which she said was very strong and very good, and I got a mojito mocktail, which was refreshing and well-made.
If you’re looking for a casual bite with tasty sides and good cocktails in a central Paris location, this place delivers. Just be aware it can be a little hectic inside if you’re looking for something...
Read moreThe Drinks are of average quality. And that is the nicest thing one can say about this cafe in the middle of Paris. The waitress didn’t understand a word English! Quite literally not even one word! And that’s in a capital city in Europe! We didn’t get what we ordered. Naturally, how could we, when the waitress couldn’t even understand us. As we tried to get a bottle of water and glasses, we were ignored. She tended to other (French) patrons who were seated after us. We asked another waiter to bring us some glasses and he brought dirty ones over! They were dirty with lipstick stains on them. Being fed up we wanted to pay. This she understood quite perfectly. Of course. Then she gave us the wrong check and another patron had to translate and tell her our request in French! If you’re not able to speak the French language do not go there! The staff is incredibly rude and French patrons are favored! It is a waste of money and time....
Read more"Le paradis du fruit" was an excellent discovery for us! The food was delicious, the staff super friendly (and they have funny tshirts) and the desserts are worthy of a little cheat meal.
For the main course, we took the "Falafel en fête" pitta and the "Banquise sauvage" toast, and recommend both of them! And as dessert, you can't say no to their signature "Yollita" with fruit in it. Last but absolutely not least, we had the pleasure to drink their "Mojito XXL" with raspberry: a 1 liter carafe to share!
The staff was super friendly and very helpful to us, eager to respond to our questions even though it was a bit crowded when we arrived. The little attentions or even coming back to check if they got our order right showed a real professionalism from their part, and contributed greatly to our experience.
We had a great experience at Le Paradis du Fruit, and we will be back for more as soon...
