Only stay here if you are desperate for a room and if your budget doesn’t allow for more.

Pros: Great value for the location!! Just minutes to the Louvre. Within the block; pharmacy, money exchange, laundry mat, luggage storage, cafe’s, restaurants and underground subway. 2 blocks from the Seine River. 90% of the time there was hot water but would take a minute to kick in. House keeping everyday that made up our bed, put fresh towels out and toke out trash.

Cons: Room appeared clean-ish but still felt dirty. Dirty walls, sticky floors. Uncomfortable and cheap pillows. Smelly top duvet. We ended up just using the flat sheets. Weak wifi. Small bathroom. Small shower. There was only one electrical outlet so I was switching from my phone charger to the iron then my curler. Noisy. There is a bar underneath that stays open until 2am even on weekdays but with the windows closed it was bearable. There was connstruction during our stay that started at 7am even on the weekdays.

1/3 of the male staff/front reception was nice, welcoming and friendly but the other two were rude. Day 4/5 days of our reservation one of them yelled at me in French, asking what my room number was. After asking him to repeat in English; he yelled louder the same question. I said my room number and said you’ve seen me before.. (twice previous) but he didn’t say anything back. Another time, there was a man in a suit that rudely requested for our room key before heading out for the day. When we said that’s a weird request, he then rudely pointed to a sign that says if we lose the key, it would be 70€ to replace. We found it kind of odd that someone would ask for our room key during our stay. Upon coming home to our room, our room was cleaned.. so it seemed odd to ask for the room key in the first place. Typically, it’s a universal understanding that if a key is lost, there would be some implications to it. Seemed unnecessary and rude.

All in all, I would not recommend this place. Save your self the headache of the rude staff and stay in a cleaner room/building. Next time we would book in the same area but spend that little extra to stay...

I had an art exhibition close by so I found this place and I booked despite reading having less than 3 stars and to be honest, I'm very happy with the experience here. I mean, the pictures don't lie, the building is old, it doesn't have a lift but the location is excellent! The street has many options to eat from breakfast to dinner, bars and the metro is really close.

The service is excellent, the people from the reception were helpful and friendly from the beginning to the end. I arrived very early and they helped me keeping my luggage safe until I made some time around. They had my room ready even earlier than expected...but it was on the 5th floor. Anyway, that was not a problem, they offered me to keep my suitcase downstairs on their storage room so I was taking with me every day what I needed for the day. The room have everything I needed for my purpose which was going to sleep and shower. I have to be honest, the shower is VERY small but that's something I don't see changing because it's just built that way. But having a private bathroom is great, most Airbnbs I've been to, I have to share the bathroom. I slept like a baby, there was no noises at all and the pillow was very comfortable. They cleaned my room next morning and I left so many personal things around and nothing was missing. The room doesn't have tv but to be honest, if you're in the center of Paris, why would you be at the room watching TV?! If you're going to Paris for certain activity where you're going to be out most of the day, and you're a practical person who doesn't care much about many other details, this is your place.

The first morning, the man from the reception even borrowed me an umbrella because it started rainiy. The girl also helped me a lot cleaning up some things arrived broken in my suitcase. The highlight of the service is that I forgot one package with something really important for me and they helped me keeping it safe until someone picked it up. I'M STILL GRATEFUL WITH YOU GUYS!

Thanks again for the amazing experience, when I go back to Paris, I'll definitely stay...

To be honest I had a stomach ache when I read all the negative reviews but it is one of the cheapest hotels in this neighborhood and only a 1 star hotel. I felt comfortable as soon as I arrived because I was greeted and welcomed very warmly. My room was on the 5th floor and without an elevator a small workout but easy to reach with light hand luggage. The room is very small, like almost everywhere in Paris, but it is clean and charming (just Paris). The bathroom is definitely the smallest I've ever been in, but also clean and functional! Honestly, how much time do you spend in a room on a city trip? You want to shower and sleep and I was able to do that quite well. The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly! The breakfast in the smallest breakfast room in the world was also typical for Paris, simple but perfectly okay. All in all, I can highly recommend it for individualists and especially solo travelers. I will definitely book it again for my next stay and also recommend it to my network with a clear conscience. A mini hotel in the heart of Paris at a reasonable price, what more could you want?

P.s. I think if everyone here would also leave their positive impressions, the ranking would be at least 4.5 stars. But most people probably think that if it's actually quite good and the price is ok, it doesn't need any reviews... Unfortunately it does! So my stomach ache was completely unfounded and I hope to relieve others of it with...
