EDIT: At one point, someone from the company responded to this review. I emailed them like they asked. I’ve received no response since, so there has been no attempt to correct the experience on the restaurant’s part. ..... My husband and I were trying to find a cafe to sit at and one of the waitresses bullied us into sitting. Whatever, we were being indecisive so we let it happen. She sat us on the patio just past the awning so we weren’t covered. We were only a minute or two into a beer, wine, and dessert when something splashed from above on the ground behind me, and on me - in my hair, arm, and hand. My husband got splashed on his hands as well. Within seconds it smelled like feces. We noticed it was on our plates, table, and menu. The staff pretty much didn’t care. They saw it happen and only cleaned up the ground after we said something. Again, it smelled like feces. The manager brought us a towel for our hands, but that didn’t do much for the rest of us. We sat there trying to get their attention again for about 10 minutes. The manager saw me in the bathroom washing my arm. Nothing. We finally got the waitress’s attention and asked for the check, because clearly they didn’t care and we weren’t about to eat after whatever fell got all over our food. The waitress, as she was running my card, went into a rant in French (which I think she assumed I couldn’t understand any of it) where in short she told us that it isn’t her problem that water from toilets splashes down to the street, and she can’t do anything about it. She could have at least cleaned the table and replaced our drinks; that would have been a good resolution. It’s not as if they aren’t charging exorbitant prices for middle of the road wine and beer. Also, maybe not place tables in splash zones - that is something they could easily control. Lastly, I am usually super patient and really forgiving. I served tables for years. But this experience put a damper in our afternoon. There are literally a 100 other brasseries and cafes to go in that area; go to one of those. I attached pictures, which I took after trying to clean up myself.

You win some and you lose some. This was definitely a loss. Very unfortunate to say but the experience was extremely poor. We were very excited because the interior is beautiful and very Parisian. TLDR- Extremely subpar food and very poor service. - Never got to taste the wine before getting served - never got water the whole service and only got it when we asked for it at the end when we waited 30 mins for the server to come which he never did. - waiter never came back and we had to go up to them to ask for the bill after not seeing them for well over 30 minutes Wine glass was sticky, salmon tartare was just salmon sashimi with absolute no flavour. Extremely disappointing - tried to give it a benefit of the doubt during the meal but it just got drastically worst throughout the meal We perhaps had extremely good luck our whole trip that we thought all restaurant in Paris is extremely delicious until this restaurant humbled us. We ordered the - veal with cream sauce and rice- no seasoning at all. The meat was very soft - but just didn’t have any flavour - salmon tartare- definitely avoid - oyster , was good - fries - probably the highlight of the meal

Tourist-trapped. I'm usually generous with my reviews when it comes to places that serve awesome food. Definitely loved the mussels and oysters which we found reasonably priced. But this time, it's not the food that was the biggest factor here. It was the wine. We asked our waiter for a wine he'd recommend and he pointed at the one written on the menu board for the daily special. We got two bottles and enjoyed them with our food. Then came the bill which was a whopping 260 euro, of which 70% was the wine! We couldn't believe it. We paid bitterly for we knew that wine was not worth paying for that much... We later then checked how much the wine was on vivino app and it was on 30 euro a bottle. What a rip off... would have loved to come here again and recommend it to friends but now it's too bitter of an experience...

Terrible service — the waiters are way out of line, and the manager is downright rude.

We came as a couple, put our things on the chairs, and hadn’t even had time to place an order yet. My companion asked if he could charge his phone for a bit, but the charging spot was in a hallway near the restroom — a place where it didn’t feel safe to leave a phone unattended. We decided to wait near it for a couple of minutes and sat down on some bar stools while looking through the menu.

The waiter, clearly full of clichés, started asking whether we were going to stay at the bar. I said no, we’d return to our table shortly. Despite my answer, he started touching our belongings, saying he would “move them to the bar.” I replied, “No, we’re staying at the table — please don’t touch our things,” and went back to my companion.

A moment later, I saw him again picking up our belongings, just because we were standing near the bar instead of sitting at the table. I got angry and asked, “What do you think you’re doing?” He said the manager had told him to remove them — and the manager repeated the same thing. He didn’t apologize and acted smug and self-satisfied.

Why does a waiter think it’s acceptable to touch customers’ belongings without their permission?

Zero respect for clients — we left. The manager even shouted insults at us as we walked away.

I sincerely hope the restaurant’s director reads this — and I hope he’s cut from a...

I came to this restaurant for lunch in a group of six. The food was okay, but the customer service was easily the worst I've ever experienced in Paris (which is saying a lot).

The waiter made it very clear that he was annoyed that a table of six only ordered three appetizers. When he arrived with our appetizers, he literally threw our food on the table and kept asking us, "that's it? that's all you're ordering?" over and over again, even though we'd each also ordered a main dish. The same waiter kept giving us a death glare the entire meal.

We were missing multiple sets of forks and knives at the table, which I requested more than once. The first waiter refused to provide any and a second one didn't understand what I was asking for, despite my requests in both French and English.

When we were finished eating, the first waiter cleared the table in an aggressive manner, in what seemed to be the verge of throwing the dishes in our faces. No one came with the check, so after 15 minutes of waiting around, we went downstairs to pay.

Again, no complaints about the food, but it was a horrible experience to be berated and belittled for no apparent reason. The staff is extremely disrespectful and seem to take pleasure in it. I do not recommend taking your friends or family to...
