L'Annexe du Troquet — Restaurant in Paris

Loved this place. The food looked amazing when it came as the presentation was so good. It was not what we were expecting from a bar, but what we had secretly hoped for. It wasn’t, food-cooked-put-on-plate as you might think from a bar but clearly followed the ideas of the chef, and worked. The staff were also just as you’d hope: natural, welcoming. We sat randomly there. Most of the places open their kitchen at 19.00 again. So this place is one of the few where the kitchen is open continuously. The place was nice and the staff friendly. The food was also tasty. We took a steak and lamb. The steak was quite difficult to chew and they didn't ask us how we wanted it baked. Further we were waiting for the main dishes around 45 min and it was not busy. That's the only reasons that I put 3 stars. For sure go there and especially if you want to eat and everything...

I love this place. It is usually, surprisingly, half-empty, which is good for me. It serves excellent, beautifully-presented meals of outstanding quality for a very good price. It also does an excellent burger for unadventurous kids. The only down-side for me is that I always have all three courses, as everything is delicious, and I really need to lose a few kilos.
