This is the warm, friendly, quaint Parisian bistro with phenomenal food that you’re dreaming of lingering in for a couple hours on your trip to Paris. We stayed in an Airbnb just a couple doors down, and made ourselves “regulars” for a week, ending most of our nights here. It TRULY made the trip for us. The staff is incredibly friendly, kind, and hard working. The atmosphere is upbeat but cozy. The house white wine is top notch (believe me- we had plenty this week). And THE FOOD… it’s just fantastic! I will be dreaming about their sea bass for weeks to come. My daughter couldn’t get enough of their truffled baked cheesy pasta, and my husband loved their tuna steak. I wasn't impressed, which was a bit surprising after seeing all the positive reviews. This place was average at best. Service wasn't great, I ordered a side dish twice (had to remind the waiter) and yet they brought me the wrong side. At this point I didn't care and just ate it. I had the veggie dish (squash with herb salad) and it wasn't great, a roasted squash covered with loads of rucola and that's it. My partner got a steak that was tasteless and basically all fat. We still tried creme brule for dessert after average mains because it looked good in the reviews - sadly it disappointed too. It was really overcooked, almost tasted like an omelette. On top of all this, we were SHOCKED by the bill. 8€ for a bottle of water and 5.20€ for a double espresso!!!! Outrageous. Food wasn't cheap either especially given its quality.
