Hands down the worst Italian food I've eaten not only in France or Europe, but the world. (and you may check my other reviews, I've had Italian food in every single country I've been to). First of all, the waiters at this restaurant behave like they are doing you a favor by responding to your question about whether they are open or closed. Their menu has barely 3 or 4 vegetarian options across the range of antipasti, pasta, pizzas and others. We finally ordered something vegetarian and it was so terrible, I couldn't eat more than 3 spoonfuls of it. The pasta and vegetables were terribly overcooked, seasoning was non-existent. It looked like the pasta and vegetables were mashed and thrown on to the plate together like the chef didn't care about whether we ate the food or not. Even the salad leaves served with the Bruschetta were haphazardly thrown into the bowl like it was made with hate. To top it all off, their explaination about why the food was so bad was that "this is how people like food in France", which is a terrible excuse considering we just had some of the best Italian food I've had in another Italian restaurant near Notre Dame. Sad to see a restaurant in the best of the beautiful city of Paris serve such terrible food and provide us with such weak justifications.

This was a restaurant full of amazing employees, very kind, great service but the food wasn't that great of a quality as it's price. The platter with the 5 pastas was alright, 2 types of the pastas were overcooked and didn't taste good and the meat I ordered costs 25 euros which is not bad a price, but for the quality of it..not great. It was extremely chewy and not cooked to what I had ordered which was medium/rare. It was more medium/well-done. Hope this helps and hope La Comedia betters their food quality. Cheers.

Honesty, I don't know why this restaurant has so many good reviews on Google. The food was awful! The tagliatelle with salmon was salty and fatty. I separate the fat from the rest so I could eat something. My husband wasn't thrilled with the dish either and he never complains. There's no atmosphere in this restaurant..I felt like I was constantly being watched by the waiters. Seriously, walk 100 meters towards the center and you'll find a lot of better restaurants than La Cimedia. I don't recommend this place.

Please save your money and avoid at all costs.

I went based off a recommendation, here is my experience;

Atmosphere - As we walk in, we are greeted with old, date decor and a fridge with plastic wrapped desserts. Order tickets slipped under your table cloth and a sombre mood around the tables.

Service - Waiters were rude, seemingly didn't want to be there and got our order wrong because they didn't show any resemblance of caring about a customer. My chair got hit twice by a waiter going passed, nothing was said. I ordered a coke and got no ice, I asked for it and received a big metal bowl full of ice cubes on my table.

Probably the worst service I've ever had.

Food - Italian? What an absolute joke. My Bolognese was overly sweet, I presume to try and hide or improve the taste of what a Bolognese should be. My partners Amatriciana had a strong, overpowering garlic flavour, huge cuts of mushrooms and something else we didn't know the name of. I ate half of my Bolognese, when the waiter collected it he asked how it was, I said overly sweet and wasn't a Bolognese, he laughed it off and walked away.

Do yourself a favour and go...
