I had the pleasure of visiting Mavrommatis yesterday with my parents and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The entire staff (both on the front end and the back end) were incredible and clearly knew what they were doing. We ran into some issues arriving at the location and they were completely not bothered and were eager to welcome us and sit us at our table. The courses themselves were beautifully plated, served at a nice pace, and had such a wide range of delicious flavors and textures. It was our first time visiting a Michelin-star restaurant and were amazed at the overall experience. Everything from the decor, staff, service, and food was executed to perfection. They focus on the small details and check in to make sure that everything is to your liking. We even got to see the chef briefly when he stepped out to speak with some of the staff, so it was nice to put a face to the works of art that were leaving the kitchen. I told our server to say thank you to everyone in the kitchen who were behind the scenes and to the servers who were very attentive to us and the rest of the people dining. I've already recommended this restaurant to some family and friends who were amazed at how amazing the food looked and I will happily continue doing so. Thank you to everyone who was involved in this truly...

A Mediterranean feeling is a good feeling. So what’s interesting here ? Let’s start by the obvious. It’s almost the only Greek restaurant with a star in Paris. I say almost because le Palais Royal has a Greek chef that digs in his roots. But it’s different. If you want a Greek restaurant, in fact, this is the only option in town. It’s not your normal Greek restaurant. It’s a gastronomic one completely assuming the fact that we are in France by using some French technics and inspirations. That’s the obvious. But the less obvious but more impactful is that they managed to communicate this Mediterranean feeling. You know this feeling you have in Greece. Actually, it reminded me of a great restaurant we stumbled upon in the Greek mountain. It’s hard to explain where the magic is coming from, but I felt it, and I looked at the other guest they seem to have felt it as well. It’s a “valeur sûre” as we say (a safe bet). A very solid one star, but more importantly, a feel good, a feel Mediterranean restaurant.
Ps: came back....
Read more5 star experience at Mavrommatis, a Parisian institution. From the minute you arrive, you're welcomed at the door by the professional staff and greeted by all. You then take a look around and the wonderful, Mediterranean design of the restaurant. Comfortable, elegant, and exquisite.
The aptly priced 7 course menu flowed perfectly and was very season appropriate. We paired it with a wonderful Retsina; a great recommendation from the staff. Our favourites were the scallop ceviche with sea urchin, the homey artichoke soup, a perfectly cooked monkfish, and the desserts, especially the chocolate tart with passion fruit, wrapped up the evening delicately.
I'm certainly glad we didn't pass on the opportunity to eat here and will likely be returning when in Paris again. Thank you for the...
