What’s better than a beautiful Asian dining space with an extraordinary ambiance? A beautiful Asian dining space with an extraordinary ambiance floating on the river Seine, that’s what! Having crossed the oceans for nearly 10 years, stopping in more than 40 countries, this magical Chinese junk has retired at the foot of the Bibliothèque Nationale, and triples as a vibrant drinks patio, intimate restaurant and concert hall on water. For a totally unique experience, gather a few friends, make a dinner reservation for the cozy lantern-lit boudoir, and relax on a bed of cushions as you choose from a short menu of superb seasonal dishes. You can expect mouth-watering mains such as lamb shank and duckling fillet, and drool-worthy starters such as cappuccino of sweet chestnut soup, crispy bacon and crème fraîche, and fricassée of forest mushrooms with poached egg in truffle oil. If you’re not mesmerized by your food, you’ll notice small TV monitors in the dining room showing the evening’s musical act playing on the upper deck. Many well-known French artists have been hosted here long before they made their mark, so the unknown acts—which range from pop and rock to gypsy jazz—are well worth checking out. If after all that you have some party left in you, the DJ is on hand to entertain the dancing crowd into the wee hours. Attention seasickness sufferers: if you feel a little wobbly, it’s likely not...

2nd visit: The hostess was incredibly rude to us. I repeated 5 times what I wanted to ask. She never listened to what I said, kept repeating some standard robotic ‘greeting’ and then actually wanted to speak English at some point, as she probably didn’t like our foreign accent. Very strange. After sitting down at a table for 5 minutes we decide to leave and not order. We went to ‘La Brigade’ instead, a very cool food-truck in front of the nearby mk2 cinema. Definitely not coming back to ´La Dame de Canton’. Shame... the 1st visit had been great!

1st visit: (Gave 5 stars, but after coming here again, no way!) Summer-time dinner at the waterfront. . . (not on the peniche, but on the quais) We had ordered pizza margherita with extra grilled aubergines and a beef carpaccio - both to share. It tasted super good, our stomachs were perfectly filled, service was great. All in all a great inprovised evening, with the feeling of being on a far away...

du coup je fais un copier - coller de mon message facebook et précise un point.

precision sur le service :

je n avais rien contre venir au bar nous l avons d ailleurs fait 3 fois. la deuxieme fois à 19h55 je voulais meme commander des pizzas car je souhaitais qu un ticket mais ca m a ete refusé car il fallait attendre 20h... du coup j ai refais la queue pour avoir mes pizzas et la on me dit que j aurai du les commander à table!!! (meme serveur) il ne pouvait pas le dire avant...

bref ne pas vouloir prendre une commande pour 5 min et obliger le client à refaire la queue alors qu on pouvait lui conseiller d attendre à sa table il n y a paris qu on voit ca mais quand on voit votre reponse on se dit que le service n est pas fait pour vous. vendez vite que ca change!

rappel du service à 19h au bar : 10 min d attente pour servir 3 pauvre clients car un seul serveur daigne quitter la table (devant servir et encaisser seul) de la grosse dizaine serveurs pour s occuper des clients... bah oui il faut qu ils mangent tous ensemble et si des clients arrivent bah c est pareil... dans ce cas n ouvrez qu à 19h30

par contre chapeau pour la rapidité à desservir, dès qu il est resté qu une part de pizza, en 2 min on vient vous dire de la finir et on vous enleve le plat

Dommage on ne peut pas mettre zéro...

Cet endroit fut bien (y allais 2/3 fois par an) mais maintenant à éviter absolument.

service zéro mais très efficace à desservir... pour vous virer dans les 5 min en vous disant que vous n étiez là que pour l apéro (3 boissons par personnes + des pizzas et une planche pour la table...)

bref c est devenu ce que Paris sait faire de pire... serveurs non professionnels et hautains.... le proprio n ose pas venir quand on veut lui dire ses quatre vérités... car serveurs hautains mais pas responsables ;-)

à éviter et trouver d autres nouveaux spots parce que Paris sait aussi des endroits sympas et conviviaux ;-)

bref vous l aurez compris à fuir et attendre que ca se plante pour espérer une nouvelle équipe car le...
