It was 2300, and we wanted another drink after having a mojito down the street. This place was open. we ordered an original mojito and a mango mojito. The service was quick and what we ordered. However, the mojitos had no alcohol and it had a strange soapy taste. We drank some of it because i dont know why, but we did, and when we asked another diner at the next table, she said her Pina colada has a strange taste, and it had no alcohol. She then tasted my mojito and said that my drink has no alcohol and tastes strange like her drink. We asked a total stranger, and she verified our assessment. I decided to tell the establishment, so the bartender said nothing, and the server decided to be oppositional and find a problem with our behavior. No establishment should blatantly provide customers with a product that is not as advertised. There was another employee there that tasted my mojito and shook his head no. He wouldn't verbally disagree with the server. They did offer us a shot to make up for it, but the server was so oppositional that we did not want to stay. I paid anyway and said next time we will go down the street . They knew we were foreign, and it was late, but we were not drunk, and we wanted an alcoholic drink. I believe they took advantage of us. I am sure if it were earlier, they would have put alcohol in the drink. It was strange that the bartender never spoke, and he made the drinks. It makes you wonder why he never stood up for his creation. There are plenty of other places to go. By the way, I have traveled around France for 2 months and found my experiences to be positive. This is an anomaly...
Read moreCame here at 8pm with a group of 15 of us. We had booked, but they had lost our booking. It took half an hour for them to take our drinks order, another half an hour for them to take our food order. The waiter ordered in a bizarre way which meant he nearly missed some of our group. He had seated us upstairs, and never came to visit us, so we had to pop down to ask him to take subsequent drinks orders, and whenever we did he would take another 10 minutes to come up. When he took our food order, he asked repeatedly if we wanted starters to arrive separately. We said "No, everything to arrive together," but he brought starters separately. One of my friends asked for chips with his steak, and was told "We don't do chips," so he ordered potatoes, but then when everybody else's food arrived, they were all served with sides of chips. It was 2 and a half hours after we arrived before we got our main - we were starving. He then randomly brought us bread, which would have been much smarter to have brought out when we sat down, rather than after our mains. There was a couple who arrived an hour after us and had eaten, paid, and left before our food arrived. When our food arrived, it happened over the course of 15 minutes, so the people who were served first had finished before the final people had a plate in front of them. Giving them 1 star feels generous, and it's only because the...
Read moreIt is indeed very nice no-frills French bistro located right at the extremely busy corner. As I travel half of the day I needed a place after usual French Lunch hours to get some warm and nice food, not costing the fortune - it was the hit! I was there at around 16.00 got the meal of the day (duck breast with the nice puree vegetables) and a glas of red wine - costed me the under 30 euro, for this time and this area I consider it is just a great deal. The place is small - so you lucky to get place (hard during the hit times), great look over Pompidou Center, very friendly staff and food as it sounds! I would recomend and try to get in another time in the...
