If you don't want to be treated with disrespect and rudeness, AVOID this place!!! We are a group of five who went today for a social gathering and dinner at this place. Some of us had food prior to this place so we decided to share dishes. Instead of ordering five entree dishes, we ordered 4 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 3 desserts so we could all share and not being too full. He tried to make us ordered more entrees but failed because we refused. The owner was not happy about our decision and gave nasty attitude towards us. He scolded us in front of other customers telling us that “we each should've ordered an entree dish because if customer like us all not ordering an entree he's restaurant gonna lose money.” First of all, we are the one paying for the food. Not here for you to treated us like this. Second, what's wrong with just wanting even an appetizer in the restaurant? You shouldn't even questioning or manipulate my choice. You are here to serve not lecturing customer. Third, either take those orders or not making money from us at all. What makes your restaurant loses more? That simple. If your restaurant is not doing so well, it's your problem with management not something to do with the customers. Last thing, I suspect this owner is a racist, as our group all speak Chinese. I had observed that other groups of table who are white did the same thing we did, but did not get scolded at!!! Shame on this place as this should be a pleasant dining experience!!!

The only reason we stayed to eat at this restaurant was because we had a big group of people. If I was the only one, I would walk out right away. Won't even spend a penny...

During my recent trip to Paris, I had the pleasure of dining at La Maison de Verlaine not once, but twice, and I have to say it was fantastic.

The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with lovely French décor and lighting. It's the kind of place that immediately puts you in a good mood.

Now, the food was just amazing. La Maison de Verlaine offers a menu filled with delicious French dishes that truly impress. From the appetizers to the desserts, every dish was outstanding.

What stood out the most, though, was the excellent service. The staff were not only professional but also very friendly and attentive. They made sure we had a great dining experience by explaining the dishes and suggesting wine pairings.

On my second visit, I was greeted warmly, and the quality of food and service was just as good as the first time. It's no wonder I came back; this place won me over.

No words, the best restaurant in Paris for an affordable price. The basic menu you can choose one entree, one main dish and one dessert. The entree I suggest escargot for the curious and adventurous it is super fresh and it tastes of sea and herbs, beyond the funny experience of eating it with the weird spoon-scissors. For the less corageous I can suggest the onion soup, it is magnificent and very traditional in France. For main dish, I suggest something with meat but surely the one that is accompanied by little balls of potato/cheese (they are amazing!!!!). For the desert, please don't try any other sweet rather than the Creme Brulee. Verlaine's creme brulee is the best one I found in Paris and I ate creme brulee everywhere as it is my favourite dessert. Please don't even bother to ask 2 different desserts to share, just ask 2 creme brulees otherwise you will both fight for the amazing brulee!
