La piazzetta — Restaurant in Paris

As an American used to being ridiculed by French people (sometimes rightfully so, we’re obnoxious & spoiled) for breathing incorrectly, I found the service here to be immaculate. A young French woman with tremendous English took our order and was delightful and super, super sweet. I haven’t been tipping everywhere in Europe thus far as it’s much less common, but I had to tip this server. So charming and sweet! We loved the oil they served so much that she got all the ingredients translated from French to English and explained the process of making it.

The food was amazing as well! Pizza is so good and fresh tasting. The wine was great. Really no complaints here.

Again, as an American I was incredibly intimidated by France. It’s generally not a great experience for people from the states. If you’re worried about that, please come here and hope you have that amazing server. What a lovely little find. Small, quaint, but what food! Wow. Best meal I've had for a while. I had fillet de bar, with grilled vegetables. The flavours we spot on, the fish was cooked perfectly. Went together well with some lovely wine and the tiramasu for dessert, homemade, and a large portion. Would definitely recommend it. We are tourists and wasn’t sure where to eat. Found this place by pure luck. Cozy, excellent food (we had pizza and Lambrusco), good prices and AMAZING service (especially the guy from Sri Lanka who was so friendly and charming). They were always attentive to our needs and made us feel welcome. Also very much visited by locals so it’s defo not a tourist trap.
