My husband and I have been regular at Kanpai since they opened in 2020. (Yeah, they opened in the year of COVID, yet they survived during this very difficult period, you can imagine if they aren’t good enough, people won’t be going back there, as there are too much choices in Paris)
I’m a Malaysian Chinese who had been studying and living in Tokyo for 6 years, my husband is a Canada born Italian who had been living in Omotesando, Tokyo for 5 years. We both were spoiled by Japanese food during our good old days in Tokyo.
We are now living in 6 arrondissement in Paris and Kanpai is indeed our most favorite Japanese restaurant in the area (for quality of food, food presentation, price and service) , their ingredients are incredibly fresh, I have to admit that it’s the freshest sashimi I’ve ever tasted since I left Japan 5 years ago. They pay full attention to details and everything is perfectly cooked.
We have been to some so called Japanese fusion restaurants in Paris which are at least 2-3 times pricier than Kanpai yet the food didn’t meet our expectations at all. I really feel blessed having Kanpai in my area and I sincerely hope their business will continue to grow as they deserve it.
P/S: it's been few years since my first review and Google asked me to update it: I'm still a regular at Kanpai resto, they maintain their quality of food and service... I...
Read moreReally impressed with this place! It’s much larger than most Japanese restaurants I’ve been to, so there’s plenty of space to sit comfortably, even during busy hours. The service was excellent — super friendly and attentive without being too much.
I had the chicken katsu curry, and it was fantastic. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the curry sauce was rich and flavorful without being too heavy. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care. The portion size was generous too.
Definitely a great spot for anyone craving a solid Japanese meal in a clean, welcoming environment. We also ordered about 45 mins before close so the staff courteously let us finish our meal and let us talk for quite some time after they...

Vous pouvez allez les yeux fermés. 😊😁
Je le recommande...
