nothing can be more a drama here. First, as a family living in actual Luxembourg, we are not used to the concept of paying 3 eur per child and 1 eur per adult for a normal playground. But kids wanted to play, so let's go.
wait a sec, not so fast - one adult had to go in and pay (yes, mandatory). So, I placed my extra and last one eur coin on the counter, thinking "you must be kidding, can this be any worse?). of course, the answer is yes.
The lady at the counter somehow lost my one euro coin, and insisted me to pay again, claiming her coin machine cannot go wrong. I had a total 7 eur changes on me, so I either lost my mind or it is a trap. I searched thoroughly my pocket, as if I wanted to go inside a mediocre playground so badly but I preferred to cheat my way in!
Tired of watching the awkwardness, she let me in and yielded "you are welcome" behind my back...what a typical experience in Paris.
so, you can come and venture out here yourself, but good luck. my recommendation is stay away - this place doesn't deserve a star or your time. There are still tons of places worth going, even though the service attitude here is...
Read moreFor my kid this place was the highlight of the vacation. We ended up coming here many times. Honestly we didn't even know there was a fee to enter because we just strolled straight in and no one said anything to us. I thought this staff in attendance was for concessions and food. Of course just like any playground most annoying things are the weird hover parents that have to stand with their child the whole time and block things for all the other kids also since there are people attending and monitoring the playground it would be great if they enforced the age limits that are written on every single attraction. My kid became very frustrated with the fact that there's constantly parents putting infants and small babies on the climbing ropes preventing them from being able to play even though it's clearly marked ages five and up. And then when your kid tries to go past them they get annoyed that you're being too quick around their little precious baby that isn't even supposed to be on the equipment. Anyway we'll probably never go back to Paris because there's too much more world to see but if we do will be visiting...
Read moreThe playground is lovely. As a former Parisian and someone how has lived in the US, Canada and the UK - I have to say ignore the poor reviews - they're uneducated. Quite simply, not many years ago, playground in Paris were overrun with SDFs (homeless) and Roma gangs. Paying a few euros to enter a well-kept and secure playground is money well spent. I was absolutely delighted to be able to sit in a playground where they only adults present were with children. They children did not have to wait long for their turns on swings, slides, zipline etc. If you are a tourist and you are annoyed at paying for use of a playground - you must wonder who exactly you think pays for these places. For the same reason in London some boroughs only allow their residents to use adventure playgrounds. Thank you Paris for such a lovely playground. We'll be back soon contactless card...
