I recently visited Bistrot Pop for a quick coffee fix, and let me tell you, it was an adventure I won’t soon forget. It was the closest coffee shop from my hotel. The first hurdle was the language barrier. The guy behind the counter seemed to have taken a vow of silence in any language other than French.When I finally managed to communicate my milk craving, he informed me that this minuscule addition would cost me 20 euro cents lol I only had my trusty debit card on hand, and apparently, that didn’t sit well with our non-English-speaking barista His face contorted into a Picasso-esque expression of disdain as he practically shooed me out the door . Read moreMy wife wasn't too well but we stopped here for food regardless. When she couldn't finish her meal, the waitress repeatedly asked if there was something wrong with the food or if it wasn't good, which I thought was really rude and awful.
My burger was also questionable and neither myself or my wife could figure out if there was running water in the toilets so resorted to just using the soap and toilet paper. Grim.
