We were staying in a touristy neighborhood, so it was hard to find restaurants that were non tourist traps. Le Brise Miche looked like a good contender. Prices seemed reasonable and the menu looked good. We got there at around 8:30 on a Sunday and it was pretty empty except for a large group of tourists. We decided to give it a try anymore because it was getting late and we were hungry.
Fortunately, the food turned out to be pretty okay. We went with the prix fixe menu. My husband got the entree + plat + dessert, and I did the entree + plat. For entrees (which are starters here) we shared the terrine and escargot. I don't think terrine is for me but I enjoyed the escargot. Especially when using the bread to soak up the butter. For the plats, hubby had the lamb skewers, which was too gamey for me. I had the duck confit. Part of it were really good but there were some dry parts. Plats are served with a side salad and potatoes.
For drinks, I had a 'mocktail', which was really just overpriced juice for €6.50. I should have just stuck to the wine. For dessert, we had some molten chocolate cake with whipped cream on top. I'm not a huge fan of sweets, but this was a nice finish to the meal.
I probably wouldn't come back, but it's not a bad option. Way better than the tourist...
Read moreWe had a very nice lunch at La Brise Michel. It is conveniently located close to Pompidou at the Stravinsky fountains ( which as of August 23 are uber renovation), and had excellent service.our waiter was very efficient, friendly and attentive, add we received our food in perfect timing. The pricing is quite reasonable, and the quality of the food matched our expectations.Although for the Caesars salad, the dressing was not 100% original, it was flavorful and the salad did not drown in it.The chicken was tender and well seasoned.we also enjoyed a beef skewer with tender meat and fried potatoes and a great home made pepper sauce. Washrooms are clean as well, so 5/5...

We ordered the set meal, where the food was at a very high standard, the vibe within the restaurant was very lively and the view looking outside while people walk by all contributed to a lovely experience in Paris.
Highly...
