Very nice food and in a very good price. Totally what we call "value for money" isn't it? But allow me to elaborate why I put 1/5 stars. I am living in Paris more than 2 years and as a student many of my friends are coming to visit me, just like yesterday where I was there with my 2 girlfriends from Athens. They were so excited about paris and the square where Dame Tartine is so we thought it was a good idea to have launch and enjoy the sun. We told the servant we are three and we want to have lunch, just to give us the right table. With a disrespectful attitude he told to sit "THERE". The there was a table with no chairs, a bit far from the other tables and when I realised after, it was the table where servants are resting. We decided to let it drop off and talk to another servant who gave us a proper table. We ordered and everything was fine. Until we wanted a bottle of water!!! YEAH THE BIGGEST EFFORT! I demand the bottle and he told me "yes what do you want now?" In french and in singular. I said very gently I would like a bottle of water please and he answered me OK. He came after 20 minutes WITHOUT the water, to take our plates where he was shouting we have the forks in the plate because he couldn't take them properly. He asked us if we want something more and we said no everything is fine and we just want some water. He yelled again saying "Sir I know that, don't ask me again". I have to say I was shocked. 20 minutes passed and we were talking with 2 others groups of people, Frenches this time, two guys and a lady with her mother, who they were telling us that he is very rude indeed. When he came back without the bottle again my friend told him "excuse me sir but how many times do we have to ask for a bottle of water". The answer was shocking again..."I am in my country, you have to ask me for one constantly if you want water". IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE IN PARIS. I have never in my life felt like this before. I called directly the manager where I explained the situation. Thanks to the others, the two guys next to us, who they really stepped up to us. I have in mind that we should definitely put racism and xenophobia in the garbage where they belong. He was the most awful part of my friends' trip. For my, surely there is a place I will never go again, or not until this guy have some manners. Thank you and I would like to hear the...
Read moreFound this place randomly, we ended up going twice. The place is comfortable and just around the corner of centre pompidou. First time I had the steak beef with potatoes and I really enjoyed it, both the potatoes and the beef, which was perfectly cooked and well dressed with caramelized onions, but the second time topped it thanks to their roasted chicken. It comes in a gigantic plate with a side salad and garlic potatoes which are really nice, but the real protagonist is the chicken: crunchy skin and soft meat, covered in the best sauce I’ve ever tried. We came back the second time just to all have that chicken. Mention of honor to the onion soup (must try in paris) and the profitteroles: three gigantic bignes filles with a scoop of vanilla ice cream each (notice that in paris a single scoop of ice cream costs around 4€ and the dessert was 7,50€), drowned in melted chocolate and accompained by lots of home made whipped cream. Only downside is some of the staff (not everyone though) doesn’t speak almost any english, but this is a pretty common flaw in paris. Aside of...

We found two long hairs and a dead fly in our limp side salads. When I told the server, she didn’t apologize and wasn’t very shocked - she just asked if I wanted a new salad or a new dish altogether. Lol. It’s a shame because the food itself is enjoyable and decently priced. It was just hard to finish the meal after all the surprise nuggets of extra protein we found qServer seemed super tired/disinterested when taking care of us. When one of us asked for sparkling water, she brought out a large possibly expensive bottle - a trick maybe? Either way, It was a weird experience, I do not...
