Le Golfe de Naples — Restaurant in Paris

Came there for desserts with my husband tonight at around 9PM after having dinner in another place and we literally were kicked out after a waiter discovered they will not make a fortune on us tonight! After taking our order the waiter came back and told it's not sufficient to serve us. We said we can add something to add to the bill, but they told us to leave. I have never experienced something like this in my life. This is outrageous to me. Waiters were rude all the time. No Good evening in the beginning, no good bye when we were leaving, no excuses for the situation. They had several free tables so that you understand the situation, at it was after the dinner hours already. I rarely leave reviews, but could not hold this for me...

Almost a year since my last visit to the gulf of Naples, i have to say this restaurant is still the most legit Italian restaurant I’ve been too in Paris. I brought my partner and my father to the restaurant, we enjoyed an appetiser, pizza, pasta, and later dessert, and before we left we had some coffee and grapa. We had amazing service with with Antonio (the waiter)who spoke Italian himself. I had the Italian banter experience like I had when I lived in italy , and good food and wine. I will definitely visit this restaurant once again. The gulf of Naples didn’t disappoint me nor my guests. Can’t wait to return once again. Thank you guys for making me nostalgic to italy and giving me and my family a good time....

Don’t go here!!! I approach this review from two angles, food and service. I’m an American but speak fluent French and chose this restaurant to dine at with my wife who speaks very little French. I spoke some French but also English at the table to make my wife feel more comfortable. The waiter, an older man, was rude, gruff and disrespectful, treated us with disdain while addressing other French diners politely and respectfully. Bluntly, he was a real pig!
