We have stayed in the 6th arrondissement before and knew the neighborhood we wished to stay in. This hotel is well located in the 6th, near restaurants, shops and tourist sites but also very quiet street. We were on the 4th floor facing the street in room 406 and found it to be very quiet at night. ||We arrived on a very early flight at CDG. The hotel held our luggage while we relaxed in their quiet lounge area. Complimentary coffee, tea, juices, water and chips were available. We were able to access our room earlier than check in time. ||The room (Deluxe Club) is well appointed but small. Apparently it was updated and refreshed recently and it showed. We stayed for five days which posed a problem because the room has no drawer space just one open shelved area next to the bed. This left us limited storage for our clothing. The bathroom was essentially all in one, meaning that the toilet, wash basin and shower (no tub) were all together. I think the big negative would be no private WC, only one wash basin and no tub. ||Despite these negatives we found the continental breakfast included in the room was exceptional served from 7-11. You could also order from the menu which was also included with the room. Room service was also available. ||Starting at 5pm the bar was open to serve yourself wine and chips all complimentary. A limited 24/7 dining menu for room service was also available.||The hotel is very well staffed and accommodating. We arranged a private tour of the Cathedral of Notre Dame. That was a separate charge and pricey but worth it. It translated into about $500 for two hours. We also used the cleaning service which was very good but also pricey. Finally we arranged our transportation with their limousine service which was 175 euros or about $200 and about the same as a taxi but not as luxurious as a taxi. ||We would consider staying here again but would be very specific on the kind of room that we would like. Nothing was available for us to see for the future. When we received our bill we did not need an accounting degree to understand it. Other than the nightly charge and taxes, room service, laundry and transportation to CDG there were no extras. For five nights our final tab was $6,233.00||My 4star rating is primarily due to the lack of drawer space and a bathroom that was not private enough...
Read moreI will never choose another hotel in Paris after experiencing the absolute delight that is Espirit Saint Germain. It has easily become one of my all-time favorite accommodations. The rooms, lobby, and all amenities are not only stunning but meticulously maintained. Each evening, a charming open bar invites guests to craft their own beverages while basking in the warm glow of the fire. The breakfast is absolutely spectacular - a quintessential French morning feast. I cherished those tranquil moments in the dining room, setting the perfect tone for a bustling day ahead.
What truly set Espirit apart, however, was the exceptional staff. Their level of service is exactly what one would expect from a five-star establishment. They addressed each guest by name and were extraordinarily helpful from the moment we made our reservation. They graciously coordinated nearly every aspect of our itinerary, even handling some last-minute and rather complex reservations. Trust their recommendations; everything we experienced was nothing short of wonderful.
As for the location, it's nothing short of amazing! Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, it's a haven for leisurely strolls and offers an abundance of activities. In my opinion, this is the absolute best district to base oneself in Paris. I've sung Espirit's praises to all my friends and it's safe to say I'll be a devoted guest for years to come. I genuinely can't find enough words to convey how exceptional...
Read moreThis is not a luxury hotel. It’s bad for the value and I discourage anyone from staying here.
Short review: there is no real luxury and it’s very low-end despite what the photos and price point suggest.
Long review: there was a lot of hair in the bathtub upon checking in. I checked in after 3pm, there was no rush yet there were several strands of hair in the bathtub. I spoke to the manager who said someone would clean the room more thoroughly. I returned hours later and there was still hair in the bathtub. The design is very unsophisticated with no charm or warmth, again don’t trust the photos. The tables are veneer with dents. The headboard is plastic vinyl. The sheets are rough, and there is no duvet. Only a flat sheet and two wooly blankets. The mattress is spring coil (which I like) but with little padding on top - the cheapest mattress you can buy anywhere. Everything in this hotel is cheap, don’t let the price or photos deceive you.
Some positive notes are the cordiality of the staff and the location (but there are many other nicer and more affordable hotels nearby). Despite their kindness however, the competence/training isn’t there. I returned one evening at midnight and was unable to enter (the entry card didn’t work and there wasn’t a single employee in the lobby to help), I did get help from a hotel guest who opened the door. You are getting no genuine luxury here so please know that...
