I had the bone marrow as my starter. I had asked the waitress if i should pick the marrow or escargot, and she said the marrow was more special. I regret not going with the escargot. The bone pieces were small and marrow was barely there. It was okay at best. However, the aligot with sausage was delicious. Super creamy cheesy potato with a really well seasoned sausage on top to accompany it. I would come back just for this! The restaurant was very quiet at lunchtime and a nice clean place to sorta unwind a little. The waitress was friendly.

A small hole-in-the-wall French restaurant. And by French I mean REALLY French. Their English isn't great and there is no English menu either. The food we had was delicious though. One of us went for the pork and it turned out to be some sort of organ meat so that wasn't too great. Perhaps we would have known what we were ordering if our French had been better. Most if not all of the food is homemade. Delicious wine, quaint decor. Definitely a place the locals like to frequent.

INACCEPTABLE.

Very horrible place.. We came with friend and ask the best meat. The manager offer is most expensive offer, we agree and was waiting somethings nice. The portion is 63 euro. From the beginning he bring dirty plates and dirty glass, i ask to change.. According to previous review we thought that food will be tasty. So we wait 30 min for beef.. He bring it burning meet with a lot of fat.. There is was 4 total fat pieces.. The oil he cooked was old and boiling many time and dirty pan, you can feel it with taste.. It was not possible to eat at all. I ask him to change for something fast to eat, so it was foie gras, which was from supermarket. Was also horrible. From all was possible eat only salad and french fries. So at the end i am hungry and he bringe bill for 113 euro.. I say i will not pay for meat.. He say you will pay.. After 2 guys come and stend on our heads near table, the manager make us scary! We are 2 girls tourist just wanted to eat good, they push us to pay 100 euro for nothing.. Finnally we are hungry and very disappointed about this horrible place and in stress!! The evening was...

The food is typically French country food from Auvergne. Better served in a cold winter, then during a hot summers day, but the quality is great. We had the mushrooms and the foie gras as an entree, the suckling pig and the Auvergne sausage as the main and both were excellent. The suckling pig is quite big as a portion. The recommended wine was great and the service by Claude was French, but good. (If you're American, don't expect to be greated with a smile, the name, I'm your waiter tonight and a question about how you are, they don't do that in France. The place looks unassuming, but has three stories, so could house...

Really bad bar overall, this is WHY :

The crowd is full of gross / old / local unemployed drunk people, shouting and smoking around people eating their meals ...

The service is one of the worst i've ever experienced, it took us more than 1 HOUR to get our diner, the meat was really really bad, felt like it was old and not well cooked, and the whole meal felt really underwhelming.

Quality / price wise is an awful deal. Way over priced for what it is. In my opinion just the TYPICAL TOURISTS TRAP : You come once, pay a high price and you never come back again.

Just being realistic, that's my...
