A Terrible Experience Not to be Repeated
Location: Near Arc de Triomphe, Paris Restaurant Name: Misa Bulgogi (Brice on menu and bill)
Overview Misa Bulgogi, deceptively listed as Brice on the menu and bill, near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, is a complete disaster. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of appalling. This restaurant should be avoided at all costs.
Deceptive Menu Practices The deceit begins with the menu. We were blindsided by a mandatory rule requiring two menus per table, which was nowhere to be seen or mentioned. This underhanded tactic felt like a blatant scam to inflate the bill and mislead customers.
Atrocious Food Quality Japchae: The japchae was an absolute joke. It was served drenched and soggy, clearly not fresh, and in pitifully small portions. Bulgogi: The bulgogi was abysmal. Even food court Korean dishes put this to shame. It lacked flavor, quality, and any semblance of authenticity. Beef Tongue: The beef tongue was a disgrace. It was so tough and hard to chew that it was practically inedible. It felt like chewing on rubber.
Horrendous Service Our complaints were met with shocking hostility. The waiter, who is also the owner's son, was rude and dismissive. When we tried to address the issues, the owner himself blatantly refused to listen, and to top it off, the chef stormed out furiously, adding to the absurdity. This kind of behavior is beyond unprofessional—it’s downright unacceptable.
Payment Inconvenience To cap off this nightmare, the restaurant doesn't accept American Express (AMEX), which is incredibly inconvenient and feels like another way to make the experience worse for customers.
Conclusion Misa Bulgogi (Brice) was a catastrophic experience. The food was dreadful, the service was horrendous, and the entire establishment is a scam. Avoid this place like the plague. It's a disgrace to both Korean cuisine and Parisian dining.

Read moreVery good ambience and hole in the wall location for a dinner. Reservation may be recommended, especially if you anticipate high traffic in the area. I wish we had gone during lunch hours to see what the portion sizes were. The prices for lunch seem fair, and dinner is a bit on the steeper side.
But don’t let the prices scare you off. The quality of meats was tasty and well-selected. It was about $22-25 for each meat option for the grill, and the owner/manager and a waitress helped us with cooking the meat as they occasionally checked on our table. The bibimbap was really good and filled with vegetables, but be careful of where you bump your elbows and long sleeves!!
The side dishes were good, but part of me wanted double of the side dishes from the start. I’m sure it’s available on demand at no additional cost, just to avoid food waste in case customers aren’t keen on the side dishes. Metal utensils and plateware were all clean and well-maintained, too.
We had a small language barrier since my family doesn’t speak fluent French or Korean, but the staff were kind and patient as we ordered in English. Would recommend this place for anyone who loves Korean food and is visiting the area! Also quiet and intimate for small family...
Read moreWhat a nice surprise to find the most authentic Korean homemade-style food in Paris! As the name suggests, the 불고기 was just right—not too sweet and not too salty. The small side dishes were all prepared the proper way. My son loved the 김치찌개 so much, and the restaurant was very flexible and generous when we asked for extra tofu in it. The 냉면 was also delicious and paired perfectly with the meat.
The staff were professional and frequently asked if we wanted any side dishes refilled. All the dishes came out quickly! We went there twice during our trip to Paris and will definitely come back next time.
