I was the first to arrive at the beginning of the evening service, a senior solo lady in search of a wonderful meal. I certainly found it! I was greeted immediately by friendly staff, and seated at the back, which I loved because then I could enjoy my Bordeaux as I watched the place completely fill up with happy locals. The filet de boeuf was PERFECTLY rare, the sauce delicious, the potatoes beautifully grilled, and — the pain perdu, grandmother’s recipe — absolutely divine!! If I am lucky enough to return to this part of Paris, I will absolutely return! 5 stars!

Definitely coming back here next time I'm in Paris! Got in here simply because it was close to the Monet Museum and the place looked very local, which turned out to be a great surprise! I had a fish/crab soup and beef tartare; both had complex but pleasant taste. The portion is quite big and they both come with some bites e.g. potatoes so if you're a solo traveler, you may talk with the waiter/waitress if your order would be too much. I wanted to have Crème Brûlée but too full! The lady here was very friendly and accommodating too!

This place was incredible. It is definitely difficult for the average tourist. We got a few looks and felt a little bit out of place, but we survived. The food was absolutely wonderful. The blood sausage was the best I’ve ever had. The crème brûlée was also amazing. It tasted like actual cream and not some yellow custard you find at other places. I wish I could come back to try more of the menu. Please try this establishment if you want great food and the local experience.

Come here when in Paris. We came here in September so this is an overdue but nevertheless must-give review. We had one of the best meals here. Mostly locals and a bit out of the way - which is why you should come because it’s authentic experience. Had aged duck confit, salmon tartare, steamed sole fish, creamy fish soup and a dessert. Generous portions and all yummy. Very French service. Don’t be put off if you are not used to it, go with the flow and you will be friends with the boss at the end of your meal. Merci beaucoup to the elderly gentleman...
