THIS TIME I HOPE MY POST IS NOT DELETED!
I seldom post a review, even if the experience was not good, but this experience has been of such nature that i had to:
to begin with, the staff didn't check my SPG profile for my preferences, and allocated a room which was exactly what I ask for not to have (i asked for a room not close to an elevator, but they allocated me a room next to the very noisy elevator, you could hear the thing go up and down constantly)! in a dry response, they told me that th room had been pre-arranged by another person and only 1 other room was davalaiable now (at the other side of that elevator)! The front desk staff told me not to worry and they would bring me my key up for my new room. after more than 1 hour, nothing received... to notice that the person who promised this had bluntly forgotten.
The rooms are extremely small (even for Paris). There is no desk to put a computer on, no outlets next to the bed, so I'm not sure where the hotel designer expects business people to check mail from.
the only chair was placed right in front of the closet (there was indeed no other place to put the chair given the small room), which made one to have to perform acrobatics to access your clothes in the wardrobe of which the lower drawer could only open 10 cm / 4 inches.
At the Concierge (or check in clerk since there is no concierge) I asked for a trendy, modern restaurant, but he decided that a cheap French bistro was a better option for me since he knew the owner.
The SOUNDPROOFING(OR LACK OF it) is extremely bad. Since at night the garbage is collected (about 100m away), the hotel believes that guests don't need a good sleep and could be awake in the middle of the night since they put in windows that don't keep the sound out. when a group of partying people came back at 4AM in the next room, again the same (so the walls aren't any better).
After a bad night, I hoped for a refreshing shower... in the open plan bathroom (no shower door, so the complete bathroom floods). Since there is NO towel rail, the only place to put a towel close to the shower is on the floor, so not hard to guess how wet the towel was after the flooding. After showering, the only way to use the hairdryer (regular home hair dryer of which the cable was fixed to the wall) was to stand with your feet in the water... An electrocution accident waiting to happen. Since the floor floods by design, you can't use the toilet anymore after using the shower and being dressed unless you like wet feet.
Breakfast wasn't any better when I sat down a waiter started with throwing (literally) a basked of bread on my table before taking my order - maybe they don't want customers like me that don't eat bread.. I ordered yoghurt and fruit salad. I got the yoghurt it a tiny small jar with a spoon which was bigger than the jar opening, the fruit salad was 50% sugar water with some very simple fruit thrown in it (apple, orange with 3 grapes). There were only 5 tables in use for 2 waiters, but they were so busy talking to each other that it took 15 minutes to get my bill.
when at check-out they asked how my stay was, they didn't even bother to ask why on my response "not...

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minute walk from the Eiffel tower and good restaurants.
We reserved the Eiffel tower suite. The room was beautiful (room 211 is the only room with a balcony). Upon checking in, I had to sign a form that stated that I would not move the bed. First time I have ever heard that. The shower, tub, and sinks are separate from the toilet. The shower is a rain shower and it has a handheld sprayer. The toilet has it's own little room with a small sink in it. It also has floor to ceiling opening windows, so if you want your privacy, be sure to close the curtains.
All the floor to ceiling windows open, lots of closet space is available as well. There is a mini-fridge stocked with drinks and candy. Our fridge was pretty dirty and was leaking water.
The staff there when we checked in were very nice and friendly. They even went out of their way to send up a nice surprise celebrating my son's birthday.
We booked this room specifically because on the website it stated that you could see the Eiffel Tower from the room. We looked at many other Marriotts in Paris that had more amenities, but my son was so excited to be able to see the Eiffel tower from the room. Well, yes, you can, EXCEPT, there is a huge construction barrier blocking more than 50% of the view of the Eiffel tower. When the gentleman came to deliver my son's bday surprise I asked him about that. He said it has been like that for over a year and it would be a while until it is moved. I was infuriated! After seeing some of the photos posted with the reviews, with the view being blocked, we had inquired with the hotel and they stated that there was nothing blocking the view.
We were gone all day most days, but each time we entered or left the hotel, we were not acknowledged, no hello or goodbye, not even a glance up from the desk. The lobby is tiny so there is no way that they didn't see us.
The breakfast that is included is a basket full of croissants and bread, yogurt and juice. If you have to pay for that, it is 30 euros a person. The waitress was very unfriendly. We stayed for 3 nights, after the first morning, we never went back.
On the morning when we were leaving, we sat in the lobby, literally 5 feet from the front desk, after being there about 10 minutes we were finally acknowledged and the woman at the front desk asked if we wanted to check out. We settled the bill and then I told her that we were upset about the view being blocked and that I think that type of information should be clearly posted on the website as we would have chosen another hotel. She asked me "you couldn't see the Eiffel Tower?" She acted surprised. I told her the view was blocked. She said she would tell Management. I'm sorry, there is no way that this was the first complaint, the website clearly advertises the guaranteed view. If there is going to be a long term obstruction, that information should be posted.
We didn't visit the pool. The hotel hallway and elevator are very small.
If the view hadn't been blocked and the staff would have been more friendly, I would probably rate this...

We met Omran at the front desk. Our preference is always a top floor so that is what we requested. Omran said he would do his best. We went to lunch at the cafe across the street then walked around a bit to kill time while the rooms were being cleaned and prepared. When we returned after 2 in the afternoon we sat in the lobby to cool down, said hello to Omran so he would know we were back. We didn’t wait long. They had already taken our bags to the room when we were told our room was ready. To our surprise we were given a room on the top floor which is what we wanted. Shukran to Omran for giving us the floor we wanted without having to tell him we were celebrating our 15 wedding anniversary. That’s great customer service and with a smile. Such a kind front desk CSR.||ROOM: The room is small. No drawers to unpack your clothes. The closet has space for hanging clothes. There is also a safe.|The shower has plenty of hot water and good pressure. A hand held and rain shower head are available. |The bathroom is also compact. There is shelf space to place things if you move the towels to one side but no towel racks to hang hand towels. The location of the toilet was the worst. The shower glass was right in front of the toilet so when you sat down your knees would be touching the glass and I am a short person. My hubby hated it as he is tall.|The AC: our first night we noticed the room getting warmer so we turned the thermostat and nothing changed. We called the front desk and they confirmed the AC was out on the top floors. They brought us a fan and told us to open the window for air flow. We got lucky that evening because the wind was blowing and the night was cool so we were able to stay cool but you could hear all the street noise. The next day by noon the AC was fixed.||Even though this hotel has small rooms and is expensive, it is in a good area. Lots of restaurants nearby, grocery stores to the left and right of the hotel, laundromat to the left, pharmacy across the street and Starbucks & McDonalds within walking distance.||Breakfast was included in our rate. Mostly fruits and breads. No hot dishes at the buffet. It’s filler until you get to your next stop. |We did have dinner one night at the restaurant. I would say avoid it for dinner. Plenty of good restaurants nearby the hotel.||This hotel is a great location if you want to be near the...
