I hate giving bad reviews. I am giving this review as feedback because this place has much potential and clearly has pleased many before us. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with limited menu choices at a 830p seating, completely inedible pork, unimaginative and poorly constructed beet salad, underwhelming sides and a taste and texture disappointing tartare. What’s worse is we never had a chance to order more wine as the charming and hardworking server never came back to us. We left hungry. I wish I would have taken a picture of the sad tiny pieces of bread we were served as if baguettes were scare in Paris. Restaurants this size, with one cooking and one in front serving, can become victims of their own success as they don’t know how to scale and maintain quality. Once you have a high review average you get more customers and then have more challenges planning quantities and providing service. I wish them luck as they tackle their issues. I do hope this was just a bad night for them. It sadly was a very bad night for us as we had to go eat a second dinner later and our guest was totally deflated and...
Read moreMy husband and I and our son are American tourists, living in Paris for the summer and came across Rigodon while walking. The owner, Côme , was warm and welcoming and speaks excellent English. The food was delicious, from appetizer, main dish and dessert. The restaurant uses local and fresh ingredients so my assumption is they change their menu relatively frequently. As an example, I chose a green gazpacho while my husband had a burrata and peach combo appetizer, both delicious. Our 10 year old loved his filet of pork main dish and ate it all, and we thoroughly enjoyed our veal served with an amazing sauce and broccoli. All the meat dishes were cooked perfectly and the quality of the meat was very good. We ended our dinner with a peach cheesecake and homemade ice cream. We loved the quality and the vibe of this place and the owner and the chef made sure we had an amazing dining experience. I highly recommend...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place! We stumbled across it as we were looking for a place to dine and the highest rated restaurant and closer to us on google maps was actually Le Rigodon and they were right!
The eatery opened 3 weeks ago and you can see how the owner Côme has poured his soul into it! Quaint design, cozy feeling and homemade food taste from Normandy!
Côme was fantastic at servicing us, we had our water and bread refilled when we run out and the pace of the dishes was just very well executed (many restaurants should take note).
We really liked both the broccoli, and shiitake mushrooms and the crepe as starters. We then had the pork and the chicken, both cooked well, very tender and full of flavors. The desert was also fantastic!
It has quickly become a must go for us and we will definitely stop by when we are...
