Le Seveste — Restaurant in Paris

Originally I had a very positive experience here. But then I overheard the racist discriminatory conversation in French from the staff and other customers. I am an Asian btw.

In the beginning the younger guy was really enthusiastic about inviting us in, there were no other customers at the time. He and the older man were really friendly in the beginning. After awhile, more people came in. Then I heard a customer asking about us “do they have virus?” Then the younger staff replied they were perhaps Korean not Chinese. They definitely thought I couldn’t understand what they said but I actually did. Also we were the only Asian looking people so I knew they were talking about us.

When I paid, the staff (the younger dude) acted really cold and said nothing, not even looking at me. The change of attitude was really disappointing.

As for the quality of food and drinks, I would say mmm…average, they were not pricey so that’s okay. If it wasn’t because of their racist attitude, I probably would still have left a positive comment, so...

This is the first cafe that leaves a deep impression for our 14 days Europe trip. (Italy, Switzerland, Paris). Owner is so friendly and not racist at all. Open the door and welcome us in. The crepes are made with effort and not rushing, with a great espresso to end our Paris trip on the 4th dec 2024 happily before we return to Singapore. Wow one special thing to mention is, their toilet is the best! So clean and smell nice that you will never expect from a small cafe in Paris, their cafe is like their 2nd home, they take pride in everything they do, I am sure all customers love it. Drop by to have a meal if u are around that area! Their warmth naturally warm us in the cold weather! Thank you Cafe le Seveste !!...

Si je pouvait mettre zéros je le verrait sans hésitation. Nous sommes venue hier 8 mars 2024 avec mon mari étant enceinte de 6 mois le menu m'intrigue ( faux filet ) J'est très intéressée. Nous rentrons aucuns client cela nous intrigue mais avec quelque recherche de restaurant juste avant je n'ai pas eut de coup de coeur j'avais plu de 500 euros en poche j'aurais put manger partout . Du coup nous rentrons et la nous demandons si ont peut manger il es a peine 21h30 nous poissons la question vue que il y a personne et que aucunes n'ai dresser il me sit que oui ont s'installe et je commande mon faux filet il me dit qu'il y y en a plu tant pis je prend un steak haché plus des frites maisons choses que je peut très bien faire chez toi mais ces pas grave mon mari commande les 2 côtes d'agneau les dernières après une quinzaine de minutes le cuistot vient nous voir et nous désolé les côtes sont pas mangeable elle sont pas top nous trouvons sa chelou mais tant pis il commande une escalope de veau après re une vingtaine de minutes il nous apportes les notre plat le steack haché est trop cuit et avec une odeur chemin les frites maisons avait un coup immonde c'est immangeable mon mari sont escalope est pourrit nous avons payer 25e mais nous avons juste goûter ont a eut la gastro toute la nuit et mal a la gorge faire sa une femme enceinte ces lamentable et honteux je recommande pas je dit même pas a fuir dites vous que nous avons préférer aller manger un sandwich dans notre chambre d'hôtel de chez Carrefour et c'est mille fois mieux moi a sa place en voyant les assiettes pleine j'aurais fait un geste et si je ces il a qu'il y avait plu rien j'aurais pas pris de client c'est mieux que rienque d'empoisonner ces clients a fuir ou alors es ce a la tête du client attention l'argent avant tout attention à fuir contrôle sanitaire...
