We had our first dinner here since I really wanted to have some classic French food and the reviews looked good. Sadly, I was pretty disappointed with the flavor and textures of our orders:

Escargot - 5/5 This was the only thing that was truly good, though I think it'll likely be the same elsewhere. Duck confit - 3/5 The skin was soggy instead of crisp, the meat was pretty tough, not juicy or succulent, so I didn't even finish this. The side of fries and salad were really good though. Beef bourguinion - 3/5 The beef was tender but the taste of alcohol was very strong and took over all other flavors. Sauvignon Blanc - 5/5

We did get seated without a reservation, and our waitress was very nice, fluent in English, and efficient, so 5 stars for the ambience and service. Also, the surrounding area is really cute and lively -- will probably try to find a better restaurant around the place...

This place has one of the best onion soups I’ve ever had, no joke. The flavor hit right away, that deep onion taste, the melted cheese and the bread soaking it all up, pure perfection. It came out super hot, I actually burned my mouth a bit, but honestly it was worth it. Every spoonful just worked.

The steak was perfect too, super tender, juicy, and that herbal butter on top mixed with wine gave it this extra kick that made the whole thing feel special.

The place itself is kinda small but cozy, and we didn’t have to wait at all. Service was quick, friendly, just good timing. It felt like one of those meals where everything just clicks without...

One of the high-temp day in Paris couple of months ago. Didn’t plan to visit this restaurant in the first place. This was still one of my shortlisted places in Montmartre recommended by my friend who studied there. So why not. It’s quite late for lunch maybe, so the place was kinda free. Took the opportunity to take photos of the place. Staff were nice and friendly. As well, it’s great to find peace in that super busy area. Food and drink were great and we were happy. Decoration is lovely and cozy. Red colour symbolises luck, joy...
