There are so many things I wish I could write about this hotel and the magical experience I had here. But there isn't enough space to write it all down.
This Hotel first of all is placed right in the most perfect spot on La Butte. It is right in the heart of Montmartre around the corner from Amelie's grocery store. In a beautiful picturesque courtyard right where Picasso had his studio space. It's location alone is magical.
The star rating of this hotel honestly doesn't matter. It is perfectly clean and well kept. It is exactly what you need on your stay in Montmartre, no more no less. It's perfect, it doesn't need opulence or grandeur because that's not what Montmartre is about. Montmartre is an artists town its whole essence is about bohemian living and this hotel fits right in.
Don't get me wrong, you wont feel like you an impoverished artist while staying there. It is comfortable, the beds are nice, the sheets soft, you have all the amenities you need, Yes the rooms can be small but I mean you are in Montmartre what do you expect? There are bigger rooms and if you cant afford them, well at least you have a comfortable bed to sleep on. But you can afford them because the hotel is very well priced for where it is.
Another amazing aspect of this Hotel is the view. Since it is up on La Butte, you get some absolutely stunning views of Paris, if you can get a room with a view. I mean truly stunning. You can see all the rooftops of Montmartre going all the way to the Eiffel tower. It is absolutely stunning. especially at night, from Tim hotel Montmartre you really understand why they call Paris the city of light.
What i love about it is, Montmartre is nowadays a touristy area. But the hotel is placed in such a local area of the town that it feels like you are living there and not stepping out onto rue le pic where all the tourists walk. Its perfect for that hidden tourist feeling.
The staff at Timhotel Montmartre are all amazing and very very friendly and very very accommodating. They definitely break down that stereotype of the snobby French person. I have never had a bad experience with them and i barely speak French. I think especially if you show them you are trying it goes a long way.
In fact I loved the staff here more than anything else about the hotel Truly great people with lots of help to give when you need it. Even more so than a 3 star hotel should need to give.
I've never stayed at any other Timhotel locations, this was my first one. But I have to say i absolutely adored the one in Montmartre. I will most definitely be back again and again and again and again. As long as they keep my room available 😊
If you are wondering if you should book i say do it. Be ready for small rooms if you don't get a bigger one. ( i recommend the double bed rooms they have a bit more space) But don't take it out on the hotel if you feel like your room is too small. that's not their fault that is a product of where their hotel is. You don't come to Montmartre for opulence go to another arrondissement for that.
Love you guys at Timhotel Montmartre and I miss you! looking forward to seeing you next time I am...
Read moreI could write an entire article about our experience, so I will try to be as concise as possible. Our very first impression with the hotel was not the best one - but not at their fault. We preauthorized our reservation with a credit card several months prior to the trip, with no issues or interruptions from the card company. Our trip to Paris was scheduled in the middle of a trip back home to Sweden to visit family, so we were already in Sweden the days prior to our reservation with Timhotel. Our credit card company decided to freeze the card the night before our 6am flight to Paris - and less than 24 hours prior to our scheduled reservation. Being we were already out of the country, I almost didn't catch this, but thankfully did. The hotel was not able to authorize the card for pre-check in, which could have cost us our reservation. We worked through Expedia (who also deserves kudos), who continued to be the go-between for us and the hotel, ensuring our room was not cancelled. MAJOR gratitude to Natalie with the hotel, who made sure she was on duty when we arrived, being she's who spoke to Expedia the night before. She allowed us to redo our reservation payment with a different form of payment (since my card company also said they turned the card back on, after much headache and international minutes on my phone, but actually HADN'T), and really calmed our nerves. She was, in fact, more apologetic about what had happened than our bank had been. She also tagged and held our luggage for us, since we arrived to the city very early that day, so we could enjoy the morning/afternoon prior to check in. She took note that this was our first visit to Paris, and showed us with metro lines to take on the map for where we may want to go. This was very helpful for us!
Our room was AMAZING. We opted for a room a step above the standard rooms, but not one at the top of the list. We wanted a decent view, but were trying to be financially mindful during our stay. We ended up on the 4th floor with an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance - it was so magical. The cobblestone square where the hotel is located was also equally magical. When you descend the steps out front, down to the café directly below the hotel, you have such an amazing view down the street in front of you of the city of Paris in the distance. We actually went there first, after dropping our bags, for breakfast, and it was the best part of the day, and best way to begin our adventure in Paris.
The amenities are also great. Free WiFi, breakfast options, attentive housekeeping and room service, and gorgeous character. I have already recommended this hotel to so many people, and my husband and I already agreed if we ever see Paris again, we are not only staying here again, we will also try requesting our same room. Thank you for making our first visit to...
Read moreI booked the Timhotel's Tripple Room with double view (Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur) for 29th Of Dec until 2nd of January 2025 via booking. I received the booking confirmation at 27th of October 2024. However, when I went to the hotel; the room I booked was NOT available. The hotel gave me a room that didn't meet any of the descriptions. I got a double small room, with limited rooftop "view". Even though I communicated immediately the issue, the employees show no interest in fixing the issue. The receptionists had limited English knowledge, and the issue was communicated to their manager after my request, with 2 days delay. I got transferred to a room with Eiffel Tower view ONLY THE LAST DAY of my stay (which again was not the room I booked). Based on my experience, the personnel is highly unprofessional with a behavior which doesn't match a 3 start hotel in Paris.
Notes due to misleading answer from the hotel's manager: I was offered free breakfast for the 2 days of my stay - when the manager was informed. Which I declined as I was not interested in it. I never received any discount for my staying in the hotel. I paid the whole amount that corresponded to the wrong room they gave me.
I would, highly, recommend you to question your hotel's style of working and management and use facts or proofs when you answer to an absolutely fair...
