Had a great experience here! Was 10 minutes early before opening and the kind waiter, that spoke great English, allowed us to be seated and get out of the cold.
There is an English menu which helps if you aren't able to understand French. You may order a la carte or have a two or three course meal. The two course meal allows you to have either an entree (starter) or dessert with a plat (main). The three course allows an entree, main, and dessert.
The food was solidly delicious. What gave it the extra push to 5 stars was the very good service that they provided and the wonderful convivial atmosphere.
It was very obvious that many of the guests during the busy lunch were very comfortable being there and were likely regulars.
The celery remoulade with smoked duck breast was a special entree (starter) and was very tasty and was their house terrine.
I really enjoyed their steak tartare with fries and salad. The veal onglet (hanger steak) was delicious as well.
We had the baba dessert that came with a bottle of rum plunked down onto the table to pour over the baba yourself. Wasn't a mindblowing dessert but really a very nice way to end the meal.
Thank you everyone at Le Verre à Vin for a wonderful first...

The old owner is rude and disrespectful with arrogant tone. Read moreWe had lunch 2 days last week and enjoyed it very much. Great food and wine. We walked past the restaurant many times over the years but never stopped. What ashame. Although the staff speaks little English, we had no trouble with the menu or services. We were welcomed like regulars. The wine list is enormous and very reasonably priced.
We will definitely have many meals at Verre Vin in the future. Too bad not open more in...
