Stay away. The service staff are unbelievably rude. I put one star for food, but we left before we even ate.
From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. No greeting, no warmth — just eye-rolls and attitude. When we politely asked for a table, we were met with a sigh and a finger pointed toward a corner like we were being sent to detention.
The menus were practically thrown at us, and any attempt to ask questions was met with sarcasm and thinly veiled hostility. It honestly felt like we were on the receiving end of some kind of punishment. The atmosphere was tense and completely joyless — not what you'd expect from a place that’s supposed to be welcoming guests.
After 15 minutes of being ignored and treated like an annoyance, we decided to leave. And thank god we did. If the service is this disgraceful, I dread to imagine what the food might be like. Based on what we witnessed at neighbouring tables — cold dishes, wrong orders, and more arguing than actual dining — we likely dodged a bullet.
Do yourself a favour: walk past, don’t look back, and spend your hard-earned money somewhere that actually values its customers. This place is an embarrassment.
Would you like a slightly toned-down version for a public platform like Google or TripAdvisor, or shall we keep it fierce?
Thank you for your response.
Your surprise is interesting, but sadly not unexpected — it mirrors the exact lack of accountability we experienced during our visit. You say you “cannot control or support your staff,” which is telling in itself. If you don’t support your team or set expectations for respectful service, how can you possibly expect consistent standards for your guests?
As for your denial that the menus were thrown or that we were met with sarcasm — we stand by what we experienced. Dismissing our feedback outright rather than acknowledging there may be a problem only reinforces the perception that guest experience isn’t a priority at your venue.
You're correct that we didn’t eat — because the environment was so unwelcoming, we didn’t feel comfortable staying. That's a reflection on your service, not your kitchen. And for the record, it is valid to review a venue based on the atmosphere, service, and overall treatment — not just the food.
Your defensive tone, coupled with the suggestion that our reviews are somehow dishonest because we came together, is disappointing. Two people can have a shared negative experience and express it in their own words. That doesn’t make it any less genuine.
Rather than deflect criticism, I encourage you to take our experience seriously. Guests remember how they’re made to feel, and on that front, your...
Read moreAVOID, no awareness of food intolerances or allergies and extremely RUDE WAITER who almost killed me with an oatmilk cappuccino and was also rude about it afterwards. I ordered cappuccino with lactose free milk (in French), without asking he gave me oat drink instead of lactose free milk. I have a SEVERE ALLERGY, and substituting milk for an oat drink without asking the customer is an absolute no no. It's not a vegan restaurant after all so when I order milk I can expect cow milk. He was extremely rude when I noticed the error he had made. I had taken a sip, started feeling bad, and asked what kind of milk he put to make sure. He then tried to argue with me that it was somehow my mistake that he understood "avoine" when I said "sans lactose". The two sound nothing alike at all. He even had the audacity to ask me to pay for the drink I had not ordered and was not able to consume.
EDIT as response to the café: Lactose free (cow) milk is a very common good and in no way the same as plant based milk. You cannot just substitute products without asking the customer first - if a waiter is not sure about a customer's order, it is standard practice to ask the customer whether they are happy with the replacement, rather than just change the order without asking and risk killing someone due to the many and very common food allergies. As a gastronomy business, my advice is to improve your knowledge of food allergies and proper treatment of customers, so you don't end up killing a person by accident. You can buy Lactose Free milk in any Carrefour, here is an example:...
