I recently had the pleasure of dining at MAO, a delightful Chinese eatery that specializes in dumplings.
First and foremost, let's talk about the star of the show—the Dan Dan noodles. They were an absolute flavor explosion! The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the inclusion of peanut sauce added a wonderful depth of taste. However, I must warn you, these noodles come with a spicy kick! The heat was intense, but it only added to the overall experience for those who love a bit of fiery excitement in their meal.
Moving on to the menu, I was thoroughly impressed by the variety and uniqueness of the dishes offered at MAO. They clearly take pride in showcasing authentic flavors and culinary traditions.
Now, let's talk about value. MAO definitely offers reasonable prices for the quality of food and dining experience they provide. It's refreshing to find a place that not only offers delicious food but also ensures that it remains affordable. The portions were generous, and I left feeling completely satisfied.
The service at MAO was another standout aspect of my visit. The staff was not only friendly but also highly efficient and informative.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of Chinese cuisine and, in particular, dumplings, MAO is an...
Read moreThese were easily the best Dumplings I have had anywhere so far and the ban ban mian.. just try it, you won’t be disappointed! I visited with my girlfriend and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Although we had to wait about 10-15mins for a table, since it is a rather small venue (which also adds to the charm in my opinion), the staff was quick to get a table ready for us. Apart from that the staff were super friendly as well. Our favourite (of the dumplings) was the pork dumplings. Super juicy on the inside with perfectly seasoned pork meat and a crispy yet chewy dough around it!! We got the mixed dumpling platter and I gotta say, 32€ for a dish meant for i would say at least 2 people is totally worth it! It didn’t take long for the two of us to agree that we would definitely come back here.
Thanks for...

After four hours in the Louvre and 25,000 steps in for the day, my hankering for something warm, savory and spicy led me to Mao and it didn't disappoint! Tucked away on a side street in le Marais, it is an unassuming gem. While small (40 seats or so) it is a cozy yet lively atmosphere. However, you know that when the delivery people are coming and going constantly, it must not be a secret! The cucumber salad in a soy/vinegar/cilantro dressing was crisp, spicy and rich with flavor - a good balance for the pork and chili oil dumplings (8 in a serving and I ate them all)! Paired with a glass of wine (or two), it was the perfect end to my day. Highly...
