Amazing food, relaxed vibes with 90s music; this place is one to watch.
Was so lucky to be able to visit the new kid on the block, in 2017 @mrtrestaurant in Paris. One thing we noticed right away was the crazy friendly service, 90s jams (of course) & this amazing wall art by @lazyvassili that sat behind the open kitchen where you could watch all the magic happen.
Although it may be small, these guys are onto something big, in terms of food creativity. Born from an idea that started with friends, from 2 Michellin starred restaurant Passage 53- Guillaume Guedri, Enguerrand Cantegrel & Chef Tsuyoshi Miyaza joined forces to make their dream come true.
We tried some delicious food while we dined here in early october, including some great vegan options. Using fresh produce, some great flavours, a touch of awesome, matched with some beautiful wine; we can definitely say- Go now before they become too hard to get into😀
Compared to other places in Europe, Paris is Definitely a little pricier when it comes to food, however we found the food at @mrtrestaurant to be great value for money, considering the quality of food coming out of the kitchen. Put this place on your list✔

Boy oh boy. The experience was unreal. We knew this place was likely going to be gem, we went in with super high expectations and… expectations were smashed and exceeded.
A cozy place in the best neighbourhood in Paris, Le Marais, this place offers an intimate setting for dinner, with an open kitchen where you can watch the genius chef turn anything he touches into culinary gold. The waitress serving us was also a genius in how welcoming she was and how attentive to our needs. Even the cutlery and plates felt like pieces of art. How did we eat in such luxurious plate for 39€ per person is still beyond me! The place is a 20/10.
We took the entrée / plat combo for three people and shared everything.
Mac and cheese with truffle? Yes PLEASEEE! Creamy and full of comforting flavourz.
Tostada chili beans: heartwarming with a touch of green chilly.
Salmon crudo, fresh and sweet and zesty!
Mediterranean cauliflower with tahini and harissa was to die for.
The salmon confit as a main dish was irrigated with cheese sauce and dill to round up the dish.
The duck was good but was the only plate where we thought, we had similar dishes before. Not the others, they were one of a kind,...
Read moreBig expectations and bigger deception, after over a year of longing to visit the restaurant next door to my appartement. Food is quite nice, though not anything more than average in Paris. Plus portions were awfully small (even for french standards). Service is CATASTROPHIC, 2 hours for starters and mains, with people who had arrived later than us served first. Small discount applied for the inconvenience, we didn’t get any dessert to avoid spending another hour there. The restaurant itself is quite nice but aeration was awful and we left smelling horribly like smoked food. 150€ for two starters, two mains and (exceptionally expensive) wine. I’m sorry to say I’ll surely never visit again, save your money and go...
