Honestly I was so disappointed by my experience. I had a great experience at the Kinugawa in saint Tropez and was excited to try this one. However, when we called them to let them know that our group of 3 would arrive later because my train was delayed as someone jumped on the train track, we were told on the phone that they understood the situation ( this isn’t something similar to traffic, this is truly a horrible situation ). When we did arrive, they broke the news to us that they had given away our table. Instead we were sat at the sushi bar with the promise that if a table frees up, we will be moved to a proper table. A suitable table behind us was empty from Before we sat down until we paid our bill. We asked multiple times to move to the table and were refused every time, all the while the table was literally empty the whole 1 hour we were there. The food itself was not bad, don’t have anything bad to say, however it wasn’t super pleasing to watch the sushi be prepared without gloves in front of us. The service however was horrible and could use some work. We had missing drinks throughout the evening and had to ask for the bill 4 times… I don’t think this is acceptable for such a restaurant, we also asked to see the manager to explain our frustration 2-3 times and although the waiters told us he is on the way, no one ever arrived. Overall, yes the restaurant is pretty, but it’s very loud and has very bad service and food that isn’t exceptional. Would...

This was our first time dining at Kinugawa Rive Gauche, although we’re already fans of the original Kinugawa Vendôme, where we've dined several times before.
We arrived right at opening and were warmly welcomed in the restaurant's elegant lobby. From there, we were personally escorted to our table. Our server, Lisa, greeted us with a bright smile and genuine warmth, quickly taking our order while making us feel immediately at home.
The dishes arrived promptly — beautifully presented, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Throughout the meal, Lisa maintained eye contact, ensured our water glasses were always full, cleared our plates efficiently, and even suggested a cocktail that matched our taste perfectly. She did all this with grace, positive energy, and a truly pleasant demeanor.
What really impressed us was that she remembered our names right away, making the experience feel even more personal and comfortable. We also noticed the same level of professional, friendly service being offered to the tables around us — a clear indication of the team’s high standard.
The ambiance of the restaurant is exceptional — stylishly designed, filled with natural light, and offering a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower directly across the river.
We will definitely be coming back — many thanks to Lisa in particular, and to the entire staff, for an unforgettable dining...
Read moreThe view is exceptional but the service is not up to the standard of a restaurant in such a prestigious hotel. I understand that there are two courses for dinner, but that's no reason to put pressure on customers. There are different ways of talking and saying things. You don't tell customers they've arrived late when half the table was there right on time and the other half 5 minutes later. As a waiter, you should recognize your mistakes when ordering and find a solution, rather than saying "it's not my fault", or having your nose buried in your Ipad without even presenting the dishes. Also, some of the dishes arrived cold because they were already prepared. Some of the selections on the menu are similar to those at Akira Back, but of lesser quality. For example, the tuna 'pizza' is admittedly very small for the price, but it's overly vinegary (too vinegary). You don't get the taste of tuna and truffles. The desserts are not great. I've been here enough times to try them all.
Nevertheless, the cocktails are good, as are the sashimi and sushi. There should be a dish with a selection of sashimi or sushi. Be careful, on the drinks menu, the price of a glass of champagne does not match to the price on the machine.
There's still a lot to be done on the service and some of the dishes. The welcome at the entrance and the atmosphere from...
