Where is the old Noglu!?
I ate some time years ago at the old location in Passage des Panoramas. Remembering delicious and tasty dishes, I returned today to one of their other restaurants.
Unfortunately, I’ve found severe deterioration in food quality and hospitality.
I’ve ordered a vegan bun. The bread was awful, and it tasted stale as if it had been prepared hours and hours ago. The vegetables inside were cold, and only the bread was warm. It was like they warmed the bread and put ingredients from the fridge. A terrible taste! I spent €16,50 for a small bun with a spread of guacamole and a couple of cold vegetables.
My wife ordered a Quiche. The base was too thick, and the dough looked like a brick. Served cold, it was not very tasty. And It turned out to be very heavy to digest
The location is minimal and cramped, and the environment is noisy. We sat down at the shared table with the stools. Above us, a broken light flickered and was very annoying. Moreover, the flowers on the table are beautiful but must be taken care of! Having lunch with limp flowers and water that looks like primordial broth is not at all nice.
The staff were always in a hurry; no one asked us for anything, even though we left food on the plate.
A real shame. It used to be an excellent gluten-free place in Paris, but now it has lost all...
Read moreNoglu is absolutely fantastic for coeliacs. I was in Paris for a few days and visited four times in as many days. I have been a couple time before on previous trips and beelined here for lunch.
We ate in on two days, first time just before lunch and the second in the middle of the lunch rush. We had a table almost immediately on both occasions.
A proper baguette is something I miss (and would love to have while in France) and theirs does not disappoint. They have numerous types of other breads, pastries and cakes. The cookie, although a little crumbly (pretty standard for GF) tastes fab. The American gâteaux is light and delicious (perfect for sharing as it’s a big slice). The doughnuts are the best GF ones I’ve ever had. The eclairs are to die for - the filling is amazing, I wish there was a shop in London just for these! The tartelettes are very very good - the lemon especially which is the perfect combination of sweet and tart.
Staff do speak in both French and English and were extremely patient with me trying to practice my French (helped also). They were very friendly - even when rushed off their feet.
The only thing I wish for, is having more time to try more of their food. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Paris! If you are gluten free I recommend...

I had high expectations for NOGLU, a gluten-free eatery I had been eager to visit. Unfortunately, my experience fell short in several ways.
Upon arrival, the poor service and the general state of the restaurant were immediately noticeable. The staff was inattentive and seemed uninformed about the menu and dietary specifics, which was disappointing for a place that prides itself on catering to special dietary needs.
The food itself was decent, but several items on the menu, such as the donuts, were unavailable. Additionally, the nutritional information, particularly the carbohydrate content of each item, was not provided. This lack of information is concerning for those who need to monitor their intake closely. To top it off, they only had sugar available, with no stevia options, which seems like a significant oversight for a health-focused establishment.
In summary, while I might consider returning to NOGLU for takeout, the overall experience was underwhelming due to the poor service and lack of attention to detail. The employees appeared to have little knowledge about the products, which further detracted from...
