As always - fantastic Brooklyn style Italian food at this cosy restaurant tucked away in the 5th. Great selections of natural wines! We had the fried courgette flowers which were lovely and crunchy and not too greasy. We also had the cockles served with nduja which packed some heat but had a great combination of smokiness and depth from the broth. For mains, we had the veal milanese which was quite massive and copious. The papardelle with Burrata and pistachio sauce was lusciois as was the rigatoni a la vodka. The vibe in the intimate space is relaxed and friendly, with definite emphasis on fresh, delicious Italian food. Food is scrumptious with generous portions and enough choice on the menu to satisfy most tastes. It arrives piping hot, served by simply lovely, knowledgeable staff and owner. The portion sizes are generous—a rare find in Paris—and the waitress does an outstanding job of keeping everything running smoothly without the restaurant feeling understaffed, another uncommon delight. The appetizers were truly outstanding, especially the fried cauliflower and truffle arancini. Minor hiccup with the tiramisu, as it wasn’t as set or cold as it should have been, but all is forgiven in favor of all the rest.
