Lilane — Restaurant in Paris

I brought a 12 person group of hospitality management students here for a meal during a study abroad trip. The staff was very accommodating for what can be a "large" group in many small Parisian restaurants. The atmosphere and plates are very upscale in manner, but also approachable, with good portion sizes (especially for a 3 course Prix fix menu) and very reasonably priced. It is not often that we get to treat our students to this level of cuisine and service on our tight budgets, but Lilane will most definitely make it into the itinerary the next time we are in Paris. We started our vacation in Paris with dinner at Lilane. My husband found out about it on a local website. It was so delicious that we also went back on our last night!! The decor is charming and the hostess is delightful (I think she is also the owner). I don't know why this is not on any of the "Best in Paris" lists because it is the BEST meal we have EVER had. We did go to some of the recommended restaurants and none of them were this good. I had the salmon and avocado cannelloni and the lamb and eggplant dish. We walked to Lilane as a last minute decision on our last night in Paris. It's sort of hidden in the Latin Quarter, but the Google reviews seemed promising. I'm really happy we stopped, because the food was absolutely delicious! We had some high end French dining a few nights before, and some of the dishes at Lilane (especially the crab ravioli) were just as delicious and beautifully presented! For the quality of the meal, it's incredibly affordable, and the restaurant is charming and cozy.
