Pho 138 — Restaurant in Paris

Good little joint. The noodle soups are different from what we have in North America. It’s on the sweeter side and I like it. It actually reminds me of pho in Hong Kong. The seafood noodle is quite sour and again to my surprise I like it. The only item that can use some improvement is the spring rolls. The wrap is too thick it seems, so it’s really chewy to a point it stuck to my teeth. Server lady is friendly and can speak Mandarin Cantonese and French, probably English as well. Overall...

I gave this place a try because it was open for dinner early and just down the street from my hotel, and it did not disappoint. The bun was delicious, the service was attentive, and the prices were reasonable. A familiar U.S. brand of sriracha sauce on the table was a surprising but welcome touch, even if I applied a little too much. The dining room was relatively quiet while I was there, but there was a steady stream of pickup orders going...

Tried this place because of the high reviews. The appetisers were all really good - especially the gyoza and the crevette tempura. The soup and riz cantonnais were really good too.

Thé riz avec poulet wasn’t super though.

That said the place is charmingly run. I would go back. Just avoid the rice-and-meat kind of combo...
