I stayed at this hotel for six nights, and this was actually my second time choosing this property in Paris because I trusted the quality of service from my previous experience. Unfortunately, this stay was extremely disappointing.
Upon checkout, we opted to store our luggage with the hotel. When we returned around 3 PM to collect it, a staff member on the ground floor brought out our bags and simply asked me one word in English: “Taxi?” Before this, no one had informed me that the hotel had any taxi partnership or arrangement. I had already ordered an Uber, so instinctively I replied “yes,” thinking he was asking if I had arranged transportation.
Without any further explanation, he immediately dragged our luggage outside to a waiting black taxi, where a driver stood by the trunk ready to load our bags. I said “No, no, no, I already ordered an Uber.” However, both the hotel staff member and the driver kept trying to convince me to take their taxi for 65 euros. I politely declined, explaining that my Uber driver was already waiting for me. They persisted, saying that Uber would charge me more at the airport and that their service was cheaper.
I felt very uncomfortable, especially since my Uber driver had already arrived and was waiting for me. Despite my repeated refusals, they kept pressuring me and even suggested I cancel my Uber to take their taxi instead. At one point, the taxi driver even attempted to take my phone. After I firmly refused multiple times, the staff member finally gave up — but instead of assisting me further, he rudely dragged my luggage back inside the hotel lobby and left it there, making me pull it out by myself.
Back in the lobby, the staff member did not address me at all and continued chatting in French with other hotel employees. Only after I asked in English, “Am I free to go now?” did he finally respond, “Yes.”
This was a very disrespectful and unprofessional experience. The service was completely non-transparent, and I am truly disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel to others after...
Read moreWe arrived in Paris a few days before our trip and stayed at another Accor hotel. On the day for checking in to the Pullman, we dropped our luggage at the hotel in the morning and went off and did a tour. We were told we could check in after 2pm. We arrived back at the hotel at around 2:30 and were then told we couldn’t check in until after 3pm as they had a lot of late check out requests. Went back to reception at 3:10 to be told our room still wasn’t ready and that it will be available in 30 minutes. While we were waiting we watched a lot of people check into the hotel which caused even more frustration. I went back to reception to be told our room would be ready now at 4pm. I expressed my frustration to the reception staff that the service was well below what we normally experience with Accor brand hotels, I asked for our luggage to be located and asked to see the manager. Not even two minutes later our room was ready! Maybe I should have asked to see the manager sooner?
The manager was made aware of our experience and did not even bother to come out to speak with us, offer an apology nothing but avoided us totally.
While we waited further for our luggage to be located, it couldn’t be found and we were assured that it would be taken to our room, more frustration!
We were booked with Viking river cruises and cannot help but wonder if the Pullman delayed our check as a result?
We ate dinner and had breakfast twice at the umami restaurant and the food was great for dinner and the first breakfast. Breakfast today was a different story. Two coffee machine not working, cold bacon, sloppy scrambled egg. I thought oh well I’ll have fresh fruit instead. Wrong! Had to ask 4 staff members if the could please replenish the fresh fruit, the wait took so long my coffee went cold and my wife thought I must have went back to our room.
Sorry to say Accor, this hotel has fallen below your high standards. Viking tours, might be time to look for another hotel...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel on October the 26th and was incredibly impressed by the outstanding service from the staff. From the moment I checked in, they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making my experience memorable. Their warmth and professionalism were truly the highlight of my stay.
Dinner at the hotel restaurant was exceptional. I tried the Umami Burger, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and the burger was cooked to perfection. Our dining experience was made even better thanks to the manager, Ivan, who was incredibly attentive and made us feel so well cared for. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, making it a memorable meal. A special mention also goes to Sarah at reception, who was wonderfully kind and patient with my son, making him feel right at home.
Breakfast could use some improvement in terms of food quality and organization, as it was a bit chaotic and crowded. However, the service was again top-notch—our waiter, Ireka, was very attentive, checking in frequently to see if we needed anything and ensuring we were comfortable despite the busy environment. His kindness and attentiveness made a big difference to our morning.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for the exceptional staff, delicious dinner options, and personal touches that made our stay special. If breakfast is a priority, it may not quite live up to the rest of the experience, but the staff’s attention and care still made...
