When in Paris, pizza is not necessarily the top thing on my mind, especially with so many wonderful French things to try...but with a teenager in tow sometimes you just need to take a pizza for the cause. We did so at Pizza a Mozza in the very walkable heart of Paris and have no regrets!
It didn't look like much from the outside with barely anyone in the dining area...but it turns out most people were sitting upstairs, where we were brought, which made for a great atmosphere after all.
I wanted wine because after all I was in Paris, and if I was going to have Pizza, I might as well maintain some connection to the broader experience of being in this city. On the menu, it said "Vin Rouge du Moment" – So a house wine that rotates based on...well, whatever the moment may bring. Okay! I had that, it was great. I was drinking red wine in Paris. I was happy.
I shared a Margherita pizza with my son. Now I've had Margherita pizzas in Naples, Italy, where the thing was invented...I'm also a huge fan of NYC pizza done right...so any pizza is a potential disappointment when you've had the best of the best. This was not disappointing at all...in fact, it was really good...Although not exactly a spot-on Margherita pizza a-la Naples, it was good on its own terms. They make their dough with semolina flour (the ideal flour for making pasta) so it has a unique taste and texture to it which I found myself craving as I continued to dig into it.
Our server was super friendly...which is always a nice treat, especially when you don't speak the native language and are hoping for the best as you Google translate your way through the experience.
We had a great time here on a rainy night in Paris...the food and atmosphere were warm. The unique tasting pizza I won't forget.
Pizza in Paris – yes, even this...
Read morea 2 dollar pizza from my local grocery store tastes better. Nothing but an avarage pizza at best here. Also apparently, it doesnt bother the waiters that drugged down people come and eat here. Mind you, they arrive drugged and nobody bats an eye. But while I was eating my pizza in peace, 1 table behind me there 2 guys and 1 girl sitting there. Some drug teens. The girl was unconscious and puking from drugs, then becoming conscious again and wasted. Then puking further once more. There was puke all under the table. The waiters only asked if she was ok and continued working. What a joke. How is it ok to let drug addicts puke on a table and you're supposed to have dinner on the one next to it. Would only recommend this to other cocain snorters, and would only return here if I was on cocain myself. 1...
Read moreEnjoying pizza and pasta at the newest pizzeria located in the heart of Paris next to Les Halles. Pizza e Mozza will steal your heart with its beautiful blue terrace and great atmosphere. Their lunch menu is a perfect idea for an excellent price. The menu is simple with appetizers, salads and pizzas plus some daily dishes that include pastas. The quinoa and ricotta salad is a must as the ingredients were very fresh and the portion was very generous. The burrata mixed with their warm bread was excellent. For mains I had the four cheese pizza that was delicious with its perfect crust. The four cheese pasta reminded me of the homemade one my mama used to prepare. Don't miss out on their tiramisu because it’s never an Italian meal without desserts. Highly recommended. Average price:...
