Restaurant Gong — Restaurant in Paris

I became a regular after my first visit. It's autumn right now and I want nothing more than warm, homemade food. I was on my way to Marché St Quentin when i bumped into Gong. This was the best find I had this year. Let me tell you, it's nothing like fine dining or exceptional cuisine BUT it is very delicious without going too hard on sauce and has very fresh ingredients. You taste the food, the REAL food, not the MSG you get from fast food places. Their noodles are nicely chewy in texture. My first dish here was noodle soup and a momo that I included in the photos but my favorite is the Zhajiang noodles without soup. 今天晚上去的，只有我们一桌人。先说结论：除了锅子看着像老北京的风格，别的都是属于在巴黎下等的火锅。 羊肉和牛肉的味道根本吃不出来。点的茼蒿菜看起来十分蔫巴。 而且服务十分不好！！ 我们点了6个火烧，两个大葱火烧，两个青椒香菜火烧，两个猪肉西葫芦火烧。 最后上的六个全是大葱猪肉火烧。询问店员（二十多岁的短发小伙），他表示所有的火烧都有大葱，我说可是里面也没有青椒，他说他们没有青椒的火烧，后来他拿来菜单发现是他搞错了。然后说把我们没有吃的拿去厨房给我们换。之后他又出来说不能换了因为已经做了，然后说再给我们两个青椒的（没有表示这两个是需要我们额外付费的）。 最后的付款的时候发现，该店员就把补给我们的两个青椒的也算了我们的钱。我询问店员这个不是应该你们补给我们的嘛？该店员表示因为师傅做错了换不来，所以后来做对的两个的要我们自己付钱。虽然只有三块钱的差距，但是，明明是店家做错了，店家提出再给我们两个的，然后要我们承担所有的。这样子的服务，再配上这样子的口味。只能说这家店绝对不会再来。 也给大家提醒，小红书水军很多（我们就是被小红书骗来的），真的真的不好吃，而且又服务不好！！不要来不要来！

Nous y sommes allés ce soir — nous étions la seule table. Conclusion : à part la marmite qui fait “vieux Pékin”, tout le reste relève d’un hot-pot bas de gamme à Paris. L’agneau et le bœuf étaient sans saveur. Les feuilles de chrysanthème (tonghao) étaient toutes flétries. Et le service était très mauvais.

Nous avons commandé six huoshao (pains farcis) : deux à la ciboule, deux au piment vert & coriandre, deux porc & courgette. Au final, on nous a servi six huoshao “porc & ciboule”. Interrogé, le serveur (jeune homme aux cheveux courts) a affirmé que tous les huoshao contiennent de la ciboule. Je lui ai fait remarquer qu’il n’y avait pas de piment vert ; il a répondu qu’ils n’en faisaient pas, puis, en vérifiant la carte, a reconnu s’être trompé. Il a proposé d’échanger ceux non entamés, mais est revenu dire que ce n’était plus possible et qu’il allait nous en apporter deux au piment vert (sans préciser que ce serait facturé). À l’addition, ces deux huoshao supplémentaires ont bien été comptés. Quand j’ai demandé pourquoi, le serveur a répondu que, le cuisinier s’étant trompé, on ne pouvait pas échanger et que les deux “corrects” étaient à notre charge. Ce n’est que 3 € d’écart, mais le principe est inacceptable.

I had an amazing dining experience at Beijing Copper Pot Shabu Shabu. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The broth was rich and authentic, and the meat was sliced perfectly for hotpot. The handmade noodles were also outstanding – definitely worth trying!
