In this restaurant they "greet you" by telling you when they close. I only didn't leave because my kids wanted Korean and we had very little time.
Anyway there was still enough time to have a quick lunch so we decided to stay but were punished by a very ill-tempered and ill mannered French-Korean lady who's goal of the day was to leave at 15:00 sharp. To squeeze every second she even brought us the check before serving our meals. Outrageous!
Once the drinks were served we figured that we paid for two drinks for our kids but received only one. Once we complained to the waiting person he bought us the drink without saying sorry. It seems totally normal to him to pay for to and get only one.
After this terrible service experience I was hoping that at least the food will make up for the rude staff. Unfortunately it was underwhelming at best. Even kimchi!
BTW, have you noticed that most of the good reviews they have were written by individuals with one review in total? Gives you an idea of the business practices of this place. After visiting it all makes sense to me.
Well, unless they exchange the staff and improve the food (BTW, the chef is not Korean and left at 15:00 sharp) the days of this restaurant are counted I'm afraid. Needless to say it was our first and last visit which I...
Read moreIf you want authentic, home style, cozy and delicious Korean food in Paris - look no further! After a few weeks of traveling I wanted nothing more than some homey Korean food - and Seoul Opera definitely delivered.
This mom and pop shop has been around for nearly 20 years - and it’s not hard to see why! The chef/ owner couple is passionate about what they do, extremely sincere in their care of not only cuisine but also their customers.
The bingsoo dessert is an absolute must, even for those who do not enjoy sweets! (Just give them a heads up of your preference beforehand).
The pajeun was loaded with veggies and crispy at the same time, jjigaes and soups on point, and of course, we had to try the rappoki- 10/10!
Thank you to the owners and staff for such a...
We are a Korean couple. During our 9 night stay in Paris, we ate two meals.
Experience Bibimbap with the texture of vegetables. Gochujang is also a real gochujang that cannot be found in Korea. They cut the skin of pork belly one by one and give only the best part. Also, kimchi-jeon has a steamy taste that can only be eaten in Gangneung, Gangwon-do, KOREA.
I experienced various Korean restaurants in Paris and went to three Michelin stars twice, but it was a really impressive experience. Next time I come to Paris with my son, I will come to this restaurant.
Boss, please stay healthy. Also, the servers are kind. I work at a Korean restaurant and it is difficult to speak Korean. Watching them speak Korean, I felt my love for Korea deeply. I think this will also affect the attitude towards Korean food.
